Quick question...what is the name of the Burn mascot?

(I swear I'm only doing this to settle a bet, it will not be used in any form of rivalry joke)

I could have told you it was Islamico.

Ironically, he is also the mascot for Lone Star Dog DinDin.

I wonder who was smoking the stinky weed when they decided our mascot would be an Arabian stallion rode by a faux Spanish knight. One of the misconceived ideas that makes me at times want a total revamp for 2005.

I kinda like Islamico. It works well with the logo. I guess this will be his last year since the logo is on the way out.

One of the early corporate sponsers for the Burn was Medival Times (the knight/horse/dinner show). The original Islamico and rider were from Medival Times.

So what does the Philly Fanatic have to do with a Phillie or a Chicken with a Padre? Who cares, Islamico is tradition and it worked (until the real Islamico went lame and they got a skinny impersonator).

Me too and the Spanish flair is good since we have many latino fans and latin players.

Yeah. A dalmation. Currently officially nameless, since "Sparky" violated a copyright or something.

I don't think genocidal conquistadors are popular figures in the Latin American community these days. ;)

Anyway, I concede that I have a minority viewpoint on Islamico and his Fabio-esque rider. I didn't like it in year one, so while a tradition a bad one as far as I am concerned.

The original Islamico - an Andulusian stallion - was bred in Chili, and Marceal - the original rider and trainer - was hispanic. Both were very authentic.

But the current throughbred doesn't compare to the power and majesty of an Andulusion schooled in the Spanish High School of the art of war and dressage.

Still, a horse is a very appropriate symbol of Texas, and it's way batter than some guy dressed up like a slurpee or whatever the Crapids mascot is.

Or an unnamed bitch like they got in Chicago.....but, you know, that is strangely appropriate, since we made them our bitches last time we visited.

the decker dog? ERRRRR, I'm glad we left him at Southlake.

I love Islamico, he's probably one of the best mascots in all of professional sports. So what if we change the logo? I think the pegasus will still be part of it.

Yes thank you - I got the message on the first post - Chile

    Cory not Corey
    Colombia not Columbia
    Kreis not Kries

Everyone, please add these four items to words Burn fans should spell correctly.

Now, back to the actual thread topic (please do post about the topic), who or what is the galaxatives mascot?
