I just got this for XBox 360. I was playing in solo mode, and started a few mini games (Captain America, Wolverine and Iron Man) but I wasn't able to finish them, so decided to go back to the mission. I figured I'd be able to play the mini games later. However, that doesn't seem to be the case. Will I have to start a whole new campaign to play those mini games? BTW, this game is a lot of fun. It's a bit of a "button masher," which I usually don't like too much, but I'm really enjoying this one.
No, you can access the mini games, but I believe the only place you can do it is when you're at Stark Industries. You have to access a computer console and from there you can choose the mini mission.
I'm at the Ymir boss, and the stupid thing is next to impossible to kill. The perspective of your characters is all screwed up. Grrr
Bump - so anyone know how to get past the Ymir boss (king of the Frost Giants)? I hate the fact that the perspective changes so it's hard to see what the hell you're doing when you face him.
This will probably be my first purchase for Wii, is this the platform you are playing from? Either way what would you rate the game? What are the playable characters?
[spoilers]To beat Ymir you just beat one of the trolls, grap the giant spear, then when he slams the ground with his club, just run over to it and jump on the club, then a button-pressing mini game ensues, and you take out a fourth of his life. Rinse hands, repeat three times, and presto, he's done.[/spoilers]
I'm playing on a 360. Lots of playable characters. You start of with Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man and Wolverine. But there are quite a few more that you can choose when you start. The first one you can unlock is Daredevil. Thanks. I'll give that a try tonight.
Get at least bronze on all the simulator disc missions. Not sure if it will be easy or not. I've gotten two of them so far.
Wait to do them when your heroes are higher level. Its easier. They have better powers and that makes all the difference.
has anybody played this on the Wii ... how do the controls work there? this is one I might make purchase of.
I am at the start of the game. If you unlock Silver Surfer wouldn't the game be over considering his godlike powers?
You can't get all the simulator missions until near the end of the game, so no. And when you go to hard difficulty, you have to unlock the guy again.
well, I just played the first level on the Wii and my god was I bored. the camera was awful, a blind monkey could've sat there and jabbed buttons. I'm gonna give it a bit more to see if it gets rolling, but I may be trading this one in sooner than later.
I like the story but I hate the camera angles. I still haven't gotten past Ymir but I haven't actually played the game in a while. The main reason I have a hard time with Ymir is that I CAN'T FRICKING SEE HIM because of the way they changed the camera angle when you have to fight him.
That level is tough because of the angle, but its not a killer. Remember you need to kill the frost beast things and take his spear. Ymir will slam his club and you just run up it playing the minigame to spear him.
well, i played it a bit more and I'm giving up on it. Just not interested. it's not that it's too hard, I'm just not enjoying it. I was going to sell it gamestop or something but for whatever reason I decided to go to craigslist. i figure at gamestop I'll get $15 for it and still be $35 short of a new game. I quickly found somebody who wants to trade. sweet. new game, no cash spent.
