With all the hoopla about his A League accomplishments, I expected to see Martins subbed in Saturday.
What's the scoop? Is he available ?

He was on the substitutes bench, but Eski was chosen over him.

So, he got a free trip to LA and a great seat for the game.

    Citizenship

He's waiting for his Salvadoran citizenship papers to be processed, and then he's a starter. :)

Actually, the reason he isn't playing is that in practice he has shown a tendency to pass the ball to people wearing the same shirt color as himself, obviously he will not fit in with the rest of DC United.

Also, he scores goals. Why the hell would we want to put someone like that on the field?

Exactly. Because if he's scoring goals at the forward spot, he's not defending. Just ask Earnie Stewart. (OK I'm kidding Earnie's been bringing it lately).

What's up w/your photo. Going against the laws of nature?? OK off topic, but I gotta wonder what kind of message that sends to the impressionable young girls who are Britney Spears fans. And Madonna's a mom-kinda sick pic if you ask me (and nobody did, but since when did that matter)

Been enjoying it myself. Very cool. :)

Let's hope Thiago sees some time in the next few matches. A tall, tough forward with a nose for goal? Just what United needs right now.

Did I get it right? I hope so since I just submited my paperwork to the Hudson School of Coaching.

Bad idea. The Hudson School of Coaching requires answering 100 questions, samples including (these are not on the actual test):

How do you treat your players?
    A. As "wonderful, incredible, great, can't believe my eyes" at one time, as "horrible, uninspired, pathetic, can't believe my eyes" at another time
    B. Is there another way?

    What is a soccer game?
    A. Goals = masturbation
    B. Talent = Anna Nicole's t*ts
    C. Crowd noise > sex
    D. All of the above

    Who are DC United's players:
    A. Convey = Ronald McDonald
    B. Etcheverry = Fulcrum
    C. Rimando = (you saw those hugs from Hudson)
    D. All of the above

How do you play on the road? (this one was similar to the one you had)
    A. The opposite of the way you play at home-bunker in and hope for the tie, and then lose
    B. To win

Name the DC United player that cannot play left or right back:
    A. Ben Olsen
    B. Bobby Convey
    C. Chino Alegria
    D. David Stokes

Which one should be UNDER 15 over a season?
    A. Trialists
    B. Lineups
    D. Attacking midfielders

I agree. Although it has a strange allure to it, it symbolizes all that's wrong in the music industry (i.e. - two singers with struggling careers doing anything they can to get some kind of press)

    I'm not Thiago. (I wish I was )
I've been following his carrer for 8 years, since Santa Barbara City College and amateurs clubs like San Nicolas. I know that he is a different foward. He always plays to win.
