Sylvain Wiltord AND Steve Marlet in the same side. That is a recipe for total unadulterated mediocrity.

As for Christanval, this is the most recent qoutee I found regarding him. This is from July 30 i think, when Luyindula was signed or had the press conference:

"The recruitment is now over," announced president Christophe Bouchet.

"We may get another player but we are not sure yet. On the other hand four players will leave.

"They are Sebastien Perez, Fabio Celestini, Philippe Christanval and Mido, although I am keeping a reserve on the latter as I think he has a great potential."

Looking for this news, I came across a rumour from July that Portsmouth were in for Christanval, but I guess it didn't go through.

He says the recruitment is over but they are in fact being linked with Nonda of Monaco now.

Well, we already have Marlet, Mido, Luyindula, Koke, and the other african-sounding name striker.....As for Celestini--wasn't he a regular in the line up last year? Why is he leaving? Perez hasn't done much for a while so I don't care about him, we already know Mido will stay, but why does Christanval have to leave?

Nah, he doesn't suck...He may not be Philippe Mexes, but he certainly doesn't suck, either.
