So besides Koke, and Cheyrou coming on loan, who has signed for l'OM?
Lizarazu was supposedly interested, and Desailly? And Etoo?

Whoa, that sounds really good....so is l'OM supposed to be better than last year?
I know we made it to the UEFA Cup Final, but league form was shaky...

How good was that Koke, kid, btw? I heard he only came in as a sub for a few games...

Benoit Pedretti, is supposed to be very highly rated. Expect to see what he can do at Marseille.

But i think PSG is the club loading up most this off seasonin Ligue 1.

Mario Yepes - Defender - Colombia
Sylvain Armand - Defender - France
Jerome Rothen - Midfielder - France

And A.S.Monaco has lost all its attacking punch...

    Ludovic Guily TO Barcelona
    Jerome Rothen TO PSG
    Dado Prso TO Rangers
Fernando Morientes BACK TO Real Madrid

There is still some talk of Morientes going back to Monaco.

I wasn't too impressed by Koke. He seemed quick and lively but didn't score a goal once. Reminds me in play to be much like Marlet. I can't remember him getting many scoring chances. He is the 4th striker in the lineup. I'm much more excited by Bamogo who we signed this offseason. He scored 16 goals (I think) last season.

Habib Bamogo played for Montpellier last year. He scored 16 goals (5 from penalties). He is 22 years old.

yeah heard this guy is projected to be very good.

With that said, if Marseille really wants to form a great team, MIDO has to stay.

Mido is a phenomenal player. He is a great player to compliment Didier Drogba, who has got quite a task to prove he isn't just a one season star.
Drogba and Mido partnership would easily be the best striking duo in Ligue 1, a duo made even more scary if Bamogo proves a success coming off bench.

That is hoping Drogba's not sold to Chelsea.

I don't know much about Koke, seen him play last season, but I suppose since I have nothing to say, tells you the impression he left..

hardly... a routine inter exam picked up the heart condition before he ever had a chance to play there - 3 surgeries later, he is apparently fit and nearing his official inter release

wow, i mean that was just wrong

Things arent looking too good for OM now. Drogba appears headed to Chelsea, Mido is almost out the door. OM had trouble scoring goals last year except for Drogba where will the goals come from next year if both those guys leave

I wish more and more Barthez would have agreed to join Arsenal this season.

I hope they do get Eto'o if Drogba leaves, but I am annoyed that, Drogba, Bouchet and Anigo had ALL stated Drogba wouldn't be leaving. Of course, this is not a new thing to say one thing and do another...

How are they going to explain Drogba's sale to the fans... we knew he'd leave but we were told he'd be here for one more season...THIS season.

The Drogba thing is still very much in doubt. OM have rejected several offers from Chelsea from him. Regardless of the Crespo situation, Chelsea have yet to have an offer accepted by OM. Mido, wasn't going to get any significant playing time this upcoming season anyway. His departure was expected.

Olympique Marseille will be in dire need of firepower.

Regardless of who stays and goes, a big club needs at least three quality strikers.

Mido is a certainty to leave.
Didier Drogba has a price and if Chelsea meet it, Marseille must sell, then the quandry of who gets the goals comes to the fore.

Well, I'm going to act unrealistically optimistic...if Mido and Drogba do leave (I think Mido leaving is more certain), then we can hopefully count on Koke and Bamogo I think his name is...

It was said Wenger was secretly on the phone w/ Barthez for weeks trying to get him to join Arsenal for this season- even telling him to name his terms, but he declined because he wanted to raise his son in France, he also mentioned his parents or his girlfriend's parent's (he said "the grandparents") are near. Marseille pres. Bouchet also confirmed a "very big English club" were interested in taking him. I heard it from BBC gossip and News Of The World as well as somewhere else a couple months ago.

He then signed the two year extension for Marseille a week after all this.. maybe he didn't want to give up smoking! :D
