He covers an unbelievable amount of ground; he's tailor-made for a pressing system. I don't rate him as highly as a lot of other people do; because he plays at such a frenetic pace, there isn't a lot of nuance to his game. His passing can be wayward, and he doesn't pop up on the scoresheet (goals or assists) as often as he should. Pretty good dribbler. He's lanky, so it's hard to get a good read on his movement. That body shape/muscle tone could be a problem in the Premier League - I expect that he'll miss a bit of time this season from various knocks. I saw him described earlier today as having "cross-country kid energy," which seems to fit. £28 million seems a bit of an overpay for me, but I do think he'll fit in well with the way Leeds and Marsch want to play.
Profile from Jonathan Tannenwald who knows him from way back when: https://www.inquirer.com/soccer/brenden-aaronson-leeds-united-transfer-fee-20220526.html
Excellent, world class motor (will run all game and work his ass off for the team in both directions), good at combining with teammates, great at making clever and decisive runs in the final third. Decent dribbler, better passer than dribbler, has a pretty heavy shot though hasn't scored too many long rangers. I'd say a pretty close comparison on the current squad would be Jack Harrison.
To bring a competing view, I rate Aaronson higher than this. At various times during world cup qualifiers he looked superior to Pulisic. He was also very effective against Bayern Munich in the CL Round of 16. Lots of pace, energy, creative dribbling, and a solid finisher.
I would add, I hope to see him refine his game in the EPL. He won't be able to rely on his athleticism as much. But if he can make himself more of a killer creator on offense it will go a long way.
I remember thinking the USMNT looked better with Aaronson when Pulisic was out. Amazing how effective a no frills, no extras direct approach is
Brenden looked really good vs Morrocco last night. He played more of an attacking 8/10 and it was refreshing to see him drive our offense forward as it often is very slow and clunky. Impressed with his tenacity in the midfield too. He was getting in on tackles and taking the ball away from very skilled players who were much larger than him. I think he will do really well in the EPL.
Thought/felt the same. The intensity he plays at really stands out. Think Leeds fans are gonna love him

Big loss for Leeds but they hung on down the stretch without him. Hopefully they can find a good replacement. Also F City
Agreement reached with Barca to transfer Raphinha https://www.si.com/soccer/2022/07/13/barcelona-announces-agreement-sign-raphinha-leeds-transfer It’s amazing how much money you can make by selling players from an almost relegated team.

The ins and outs balance out almost exactly. They're up a million euros: https://www.transfermarkt.com/leeds-united/alletransfers/verein/399
I don’t see him lasting long. I think he was found out at Leipzig, and the Bundesliga is easier than the Premier league, and that before we even take into account the squads respective positions in those leagues.
I think he depends a lot on role within a team. If specific and balanced by others he is good, otherwise yes he is not as adaptable to other roles.
