"La Federación hace, como siempre, mal las cosas. " http://www.marca.com/edicion/noticia/0,2458,655607,00.html
That's true. Every four years same rollo. However, in my personal opinion it is a tad bit harsh to hear the Cap. talk that way publicly about the FMF. But o well
spanish citizenship, he is applying for spanish citizenship so that barcelona can buy sevillas julio baptista next year, the LFP only allows a team to field 3 foreigners at a time so barcelona have pressured marquez to apply for spanish citizenship
now that were talking about marquez anyone seen the pepsi commercial with him, ronaldinho, roberto carlos, beckham, and some other guy that commercial is pretyy cool.
So how does Real Madrid get away with having all those stars on the field? Do they have spanish citizenship as well?
Porteros 1 - Iker Casillas Fernández 26 -Diego López Defensas 2 - Míchel Salgado Fernández 3 - Roberto Carlos Da Silva 4 - Borja Fernández Fernández 6 - Iván Helguera Bujía 15 - Raúl Bravo Sanfélix 18 - Jonathan S.Woodgate 19 - Walter Samuel he might have an italian passport i think 22 - Francisco Pavón Barahona 24 - Álvaro Mejía Pérez Centrocampistas 5 - Zinedine Zidane 10 - Luis Filipe Madeira Caeiro Figo 14 - José María Gutiérrez Hernández 16 - Thomas Gravesen denmark=EU? 23 - David Beckham Delanteros 7 - Raúl González Blanco 17 - Javier García Portillo 9 - Ronaldo Luiz Nazario de Lima 11 - Michael James Owen in La Liga you can only have 3 non EU (European Union) on the field at the same time, Barcelona has Marquez, Ronaldinho, and Eto'o, Madrid only seem to have 2 non EU on the squad as a whole (i dont know if Gravesen qualifies as EU or not). so with the Spanish Citizenship Marquez is applying for, he gets off the list of non EU players, which gives hime more job security as well since Barca want julio baptista so bad
Denmark is in the EU, so Gravesen doesn't count. Ronaldo has been playing in Europe for almost 10 years, so I wouldn't be surprised if he also has a passport from somewhere over there.
