Fossey picked up a thigh injury in training on Thursday and was out of today's lineup as Standard played RAAL La Louviere to a 1-1 draw

The draw helps La Louviere but hurts Standard's hunt for a top 6 playoff.

Fossey is still out injured. This is unfortunate timing for Fossey. With Dest out injured there was a very outside chance that he could have been called into the USMNT camp. Standard finished the match 1-1. It looks like Playoff 2 is where they will end up.

Still injured for Standard who drew with Westerlo 0-0. They will play in the Playoff 2. There is a possible Conference League spot for the winner of this playoff.

Fossey was recently interviewed by Belgian media about the US friendly, his injury, the World Cup ball, and a few other things.

    About the Trionda -
"The design is very successful. Combining the three flags on one ball is a good idea. I hope it will create many great memories. I find it soft. It feels better cushioned than the ball we use in the league. You can tell that a lot of care has gone into it. That chip is interesting. I hope it works perfectly. I find it quite light. I think a lot of shots from a distance are possible. If a player has strong legs, he can really gain an advantage. Long passes, powerful headers… you can generate a lot of power with this ball. It won’t be easy for goalkeepers. I often played with that [Jabulani] in the park. It sometimes moved a bit too wildly, a bit too much for my taste. With the Trionda, you notice that it offers more control. For the fans, that can create a spectacle.”

About his chances at making the World Cup squad -
"“Let’s be honest: missing a training camp right before a major tournament is rarely a good sign. But what has brought me to where I am now is belief. Belief in myself and in fate. This World Cup on home soil is a unique opportunity. Okay, 30%. But if I perform at my best in the playoffs and remain consistent, that could rise to 40, 50, or even 60%.”

About his injury in the fall - “A missed opportunity… That’s just how it goes. I’m still in contact with the medical staff and the team manager, so I know I’m part of the extended squad. But that injury… pff.”

Fossey hopes to be ready for the playoffs. Standard has not won a playoff game in over 5 years.

Fossey might be on the move this summer. He is still returning to health after his hamstring injury, and missed the first playoff victory in over 1800 days.

According to this article - "Fossey is currently under contract until 2027, but received a proposal to extend his contract by a year until 2028. The 27-year-old right-back, who is currently working on his return after a hamstring injury, has not yet accepted this offer. This does not mean that he rules out an extension, but rather that he wants to wait and see what the future holds, both for himself and for the club. The American has meanwhile already played 117 matches in the Standard shirt and remains an important player within the team."

So I read into this that if Standard wins the playoff and gets the Conference League spot, Fossey is more likely to stick around.

Fossey is still injured. They lost at home to Westerlo 1-2. In the match they missed an open goal.

Fossey is officially questionable for this weekends playoff match with Sporting Charleroi. The Walloon Derby is a particularly heated rival between the clubs from the largest French speaking cities (Brussles is not in Wallonia). Both have industrial pasts, both suffer similar issues today, both have very passionate fanbases. There is noting more that Sporting would like to do then keep Standard out of European competition. And a loss in this match could really hurt Standard's chances.

Did not make the bench for a 1-2 win over Charleroi. They are currently 2 points behind Genk in the Conference League Playoffs.

Still injured and was really missed in a 0-2 loss to Antwerp. This continues the pattern that Standard has not won consecutive matches all season. If they had won, it would have been a 3 way tie at the top of the standings.

Back from injury and is playing right wing, and has the captain's armband for Standard in their really big home match vs Genk.

Played the first 55 min of a 0-5 thrashing Standard gave Antwerp. The match was 0-4 when he left, so the substitution appeared to more about load management and squad rotation than anything he did wrong. They are now tied for first place in their playoffs with Westerlo and Genk.

It looks like that substitution was not just load management. He did not start, nor did he make the bench for todays home match vs OHL. He is listed as doubtful due to the Hamstring. :(

Started, was the captain and helped Standard get a 0-0 draw with Genk. This keeps them tied at the top of Playoff 2 with Genk. Fossey played 63'.
The have @ Westerlo and home to Charleroi.

Fossey gets the start and the captains armband in a pivotal match vs Westerlo.

19' and it is already 1-1.

Ended 2-1 to Standard Liege. Fossey got a 7.4 from fotmob, right about in the middle of his team.

Gets the start as captain in the last playoff match vs Charleroi. If they win and possibly draw, depending on what Genk and Westerlo do, they will play in a two leg playoff for a Conference League spot.
