Mario sent home by DC

    It looks like the "phenom" is on his plane back to Spain. Reasons unclear as of yet.

    DC already has a glut of attacking midfielders as it is, they don't really need another. So this move doesn't surprise me.

    This also emphasizes Bradley's ability to evaluate talent. Though to be fair to Rosas, he is likely a very talented player, but he just didn't fit Bradley's system, and DC has no room for him. He'd probably have better luck of making the roster in KC where the 40 year old Preki has to run out gas sometime.

    The word from Steven Goff at the Washington Post was that Mario wanted too many contractual guarantees. If so, it would make more sense why Bradley passed on him as well after being so high on the kid.

    I saw Mario play in the 2nd half of the DC-Fire preseason match 3/5. He did not look like anything special. If he was a low salary player, he would be a good developmental project. He was playing in Etcheverry's position. He did pick up a yellow card.
