Right? I'm pretty sure MBs form over the last 18 months has been worse than Gonzo. Yet he's the one who's accepted?

I think most people are against his inclusion. A vocal minority decries any suggestion that MB is done with the team.

And some $ to Chile to lose. After all, the results most often sold online are in friendlies (reason why FIFA wants to do away with them).

Man, I do really feel bad for Pulisic.

1 - No one to combine with
2 - Making great runs but no one see it
3 - Watching Bradley turning the ball over all day long

Hard to imagine MB90 useful against anyone who can simultaneously ball control and maneuver. Berhalter needs his head examined for starting this guy. When will the USMNT move beyond the MB90 pylon?

This is going to sound bad, but almost hope gonzo and MB play poorly and look awful so GB gets a reality check with his personnel choices

Bradley was fine. Trapp wasn't. Honestly the forwards were all below par.

Hey got both right: 1-0 to Ecuador, 1-1 to Chile. The South Americans are going through a renewal phase (Argentina, Ecuador, Chile, Peru, Paraguay). Right now Venezuela may well be the #4 team in that region (after Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay). Bolivia is still the Cinderella.

Bradley was "fine" in an utterly Toothless Lion "hey, I can always pass back or lateral, right?" sort of way. A game where he doesn't do active damage is now a "Triumph". And the thought that it might well be interesting to see what a more dynamic player might do in that situation is never allowed to be entertained.
It was hard to say if the forwards were "all below par" when the midfield gave so little incisive support to the attack. The forwards were often pulled back to help defend the middle and then to chase down a hopeful long ball.
A meh match. We can defend en masse, but this is a team that is far from dangerous.
Friendlies don't tell us much...just remember the days of JK.
The Gold Cup can't come soon enough.
