Sorry, but I'd love to see the Rev bring a CR team in here for this kind of weather. I have fond memories of USA-El Salvador. :)

You were right - the field was playable at 1 pm. (probably not 4:30pm)

    a bit of green

By Monday, it will be green once more. Heck, my 12 year old's club coach has them out scrimmaging in the snow!

It would take the sting out of the whole affair if we could actually watch a broadcast, but we are denied that, too!

And, what's wrong with that? Until Inter Milan, Man U or Ajax shows up at your front door with an Anna Nicole Smith-sized trunk full o' cash, your pre-teen should be out there practicing, regardless of the weather conditions. Remember this: WWFAD [What Would Freddie Adu Do?] ;)

Fortunately they don't have to satisfy Fifa's requirements. And they can cancel at any time, if they need to.

So what about the man who was supposed to arrive on this dead horse.

    Oops, never mind :)

Well, for $25,000 and a working vacation in the tropics you bet!

O.K., that's the last unsolicited comment on the issue from me. Promise.

FWIW, i saw an email correspondance from SG that said Nickerson was looked into, but wasn't available for that date. 2 comments: A) The Breakers are scheduled to practice on the field that day according to their website. B) For any out there wondering if Nickerson, is indeed, usable for events like these this would seem to suggest yes.

I think that's a rider on a pale horse, and his name was Death

Or it could be that I have had far too much coffee today already
