Received it yesterday in the mail, Real Madrid on the cover with some great pictures on the inside. I haven't actually read much of it yet, but Sid Lowe is a good writer so I imagine the material will be good also.

The cover image of Zidane, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, and Figo is, I hesitate to say, 442's best cover image since their "Welcome to the Group of Death" one before last year's world cup. That cover put together individual pics of Batigol, Saviola, and Crespo all screaming after scoring goals.

    Go Barca!

Finally got around to reading-a good issue overall.

But I had to laugh when I read this part from Roberto Carlos' interview
Well, that's that, eh? A defender he is :)

I know! I laughed outloud-I mean when have we really seen him play like a true defender?

But, I think he's simply sensitive to that stuff. Later he says
But there was one bit that I forgot, that I think everyone here will get a kick out of

I prefer to think Roberto Carlos was just being, well, modest about his abilities, but yeah, I had more than a chuckle when I read the above cited comments in the issue.

I'm sure adidas appreciates his comments about the ball also.

Well done series of articles. Sid Lowe is very balanced and its a tremendous section, with all the interviews and stories. Even if you aren't a Madrid fan, its great reading.
