Sort of, kind of, not really, I guess. My office, which was my old company's office, is across the street from the Budweiser brewery. The buying company had a small office in Dublin - transportation people - but after the purchase they relocated here.
Then there's Mark's Stadium in Rhode Island, built in 1922. Home to a number of Open Cup finals and winners.
Yeah, but the Edmond Fitzgerald has an awesome beer named after it. This is the closest I could find, regarding the Luistania and beer: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/buntingford-lusitania/165240/
Isn't GLB's Edmund Fitzgerlald more of a stout or porter? More of a lager/pilsner guy myself. On a wheat beer kick lately. (wrong thread?)
Beer is always an appropriate topic. By the way, craft beer production increased by 42% nationally last year, now accounts for 10% of the market and over 19% in sales (was about 10% last year). All the more reason to get some of our local brewers at the stadium. AND, Lineage Brewing opens next week in Clintonville! Anyway, back to our discussion of the greatest maritime disasters in history. Remember the Maine! (probably not the best example, given our new financial arrangement with a Spanish company).
I know my great grandmother was shipwrecked on the way from Germany to meet my great grandfather in Philly ca. 1886 and lost everything. We have not been able to find out which ship however (we do know the ship she came to Philly on, though). Good thing for me she survived, or I would not be here.
Couldn't find anything about Lineage opening, other than the articles that said early April. Will they really open as early as next week? Re: the stadium. It's kinda strange to see so much red around the stadium. I noticed that many of the ushers and event staff said "Welcome to Maffray stadium" at every opportunity, they must have been coached. Watching TWCSC, there are actually Mapfre commercials now, which is not surprising considering it was the re-broadcast of Saturday's post-game. I haven't seen them on any other network.
In a video about Lineage in today's Dispatch homepage, the owners said early April. Eventually, they'll also have their own hand pulled cask conditioned real ale.
So I haven't been on bigsoccer much over the past few months, so I likely missed earlier discussion on this, and I was wondering if you guys could give me a quick hand. I just tried looking for the promotional schedule on the Crew website so I could see when the buck-a-brat games are this year, and I couldn't find it. Could someone here let me know when the buck-a-brat games are, or possibly give a link to the promotional schedule? thanks
Promotions are noted in the actual schedule. Think dollar nights are gone. I take that back. 9/26 is dollar night. http://www.columbuscrewsc.com/news/...c-single-match-tickets-go-sale-friday-morning
I know one of them is 9/26 against Portland, as we were talking about doing that for my bachelor party. Looks like the other ones are 4/25 vs Philadelphia and 7/25 vs Toronto.
I don't know about all that but ewe too might be interested in this thread - http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/crew-sheep-league-season-xi.2010500/
I also guess they aren't doing the gameday vouchers anymore? last year we had coupons and such throughout the season for 5 dollars off concessions and so much off on team gear....
Maybe not last year, but certainly the 1-2 year(s) before they had the post-game happy hours. The last year they did it, it lasted all of about 3-4 games, then the weather got good and people preferred to hang out in the tent. Typically, the happy hour is a pre-game thing on either the stage or in the tent. May or may not include a buffet as well.
They're doing some stuff and I think they put the website either on the season ticket card or in the book.
This is good information but I want to make sure I understand it. My wife does not want to go to the match tomorrow. So, will her ticket be worthless if I do not get anyone to go with me tomorrow and I will not be able to use it to exchange for a match later in the season?
