They will not have Scholes but they expect Horse Face and Saha back. They will be forced to use at least one Neville. We have to get a point if not three. They still have a chance for second and automatic qualification for the CL round robin. It's ManUre, It's a local bragging rights match. We don't want to lose two to them! Based upon availibility and form my lineup is: ------------Dudek Carra----H---------H--------Riise Smicer---Didi------SG-----(I guess its gotta be) Kewell ----------Owen---Baros Luzi Biscan Murphy Heskey FSP I've got no use for Cheyrou and Diouf. Spuds knows what the game means. I hope they beat Charlton but Keane gets a late red and HorseFace pulls a hammie. To quote Yogi again -- "It ain't over 'til it's over"
We're going to have to play a lot better than last time out. While Utd, well I'm hoping to be as good as they were against Pompy...! What does a bear have to do with this..?
We're gonna have to show up for this one...no questions, no excuses, no complaining about refs, no nothing, other than putting the ********ing ball in the ********ing net and earning your paychecks. If Cheyrou or Diouf start this match, well...whatever. I'm going for an Owen/Baros combo, as well. No offense to Heskey, but Baros has something to prove to both teams involved, as well as a knack for occasionally scoring. A loss is not acceptable.
Ah, Liverpool, we have a problem. "Failure is not an option", or to quite Eminem " Success is (our) only fvcking option, failure is not" I mean they've gotta win this one!!!
After seeing my Giants swept, AT HOME, by the freaking LA Dodgers, nothing would cheer me up more than us beating ManU.
6, I'm sorry but what about Barry's line: 17-34, .500, 7 dingers! That's gotta make you smile! Maybe Mikie can break out and getta couple for us! and we can win too!
Mikey getting a hat trick past ManU is up there with Barry getting a 2 run homer off of Eric Gagne, yea...
All say it with me in unison: "Must win game" Sorry fellas but someone has to post that Atkinson picture
We were just returning the favor from last season's first meeting at Pacific Bell Park. Sucks, doesn't it?! But we can agree on the pleasure a win over ManU would provide.
Well, here we go again, LB. Agree except for Murphy. His history against the Mancs speaks for itself, I think. As an added bonus, I beleive he's the only LFC player who can take a proper PK. And as you say, he knows what this match means. I say start him. Other than that, I like your selections. Finnan and TLT are expected back, but I doubt they'll figure in this one. Is it Rowan time yet? ----
I got this from Drudge, so there must be something to it. The Mirror also ran the same piece. http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2004180985,00.html Good thing British intellegence got the bastards before they could pull this off.
Ah, yes, good old sensationalism from the tabloid press. Just what we expect from the S*n. The "report" that you so kindly shared with us has already been rubbished. Refer to the official site here: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N144606040420-0930.htm
Okay, no more ManU supporters or links to articles in the ********ing S*n (seriously, ManU supporter or not, you should know better than that)... A LOSS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE
For the record, I didn't post a link to the Sun here. (It was an Arsenal supporter.) I'm not THAT daft you know....
Don't by or click on the fvcking S*n. We will win this game, I just feel it --ofcourse I thought we'd beat the Arse too!
Hey, maybe it's good that the S*n gets our hackles up before the game. I haven't really been perched on the edge of my seat for a game since OM. That kind of took the wind out of me (and, I suspect, the team), for awhile. Maybe this fixture will light a fire under their asses again . . . only a few matches left, time to seize the opportunity. I agree with RedKnight. Spuds on the right. Smicer on the bench. (Not to say we won't be hearing his name, we might need him in the 80th or so . . .) Let's get this one kicked off already. . .
No way, definitely Smicer over Spuds. Did you see how well Smicer played in the Fulham game? He played very well, spuds didn't do anything, and hasn't done hardly anything this whole campaign. On another note, I feel like we are going to win this one just for some reason. I don't know why, but that's what im feeling, and hoping.
I'd like to see us play Gerrard and Murphy in the centre of midfield, with Kewell and either Diouf/Smicer out wide. Hamman is a defensive midfielder, and whether we like it or not, we have to score goals to win and I think he should start on the bench. I haven't been all that impressed with his work rate in the last few games, and think it's time he sat this one out. No problems with Owen and Baros up front, with Heskey to come on sometime in the second half.
