that 2nd goal was funny as hell
the goalkeeper gives it to the chinese guy
like 5 defenders jog around next to him
and the goalkeeper doesnt even jump after the shot
    ...wow

I think many of these players still need to gain fitness, as they seemed slow to get to throughballs, leading passes, flick-ons. Park made a few of these kinds of passes, but they seemed like poor passes because his teammates made little effort to get to them. I think they still are not accustomed to his style of play, and they are still surprised when he makes these imaginative passes. But some of the passing, especially by Fletcher and Neville were rather poor.
[Sorry, this was originally posted on the Peterborough thread, but it should have been posted here]

Park was working hard, but he lacks fitness also. He seemed like he was starting to tire near the 40 minute mark. He needs at least three weeks to one month of continual training to play well for 90 minutes. But his movement and positioning were good, getting himself in positions where he could score, but usually the balls were arriving late, because his teammates did not see his runs early enough. So, he was easily blocked by the goalkeeper two times.

I am not impressed with many of the players on ManU, though I was impressed with the young players Rossi, Jones, Richardson, and Pique. Rooney has great skills, but his lack of fitness is obvious -- as he made several big blunders, giving away the ball, and missing a golden scoring chance -- that were likely due to muscle fatigue. I think PSV would beat them on most days, because they seem much more organized, and even when they bring in reserves, they don't lose their shape as much as ManU.

wow Dong Fanzhou (is that right?) had a nice lil chip in goal. seems like park and dong might have to duke it out for Man U, Park played poorly, some of his passes were okay but he needs to be able to shoot better..

don't expect to see Dong in Man U uniform during regular seasons for next few years.

he won't be able to get his work permit and I don't think he's nowhere near to be good enough to play in Man U in first place.

Let's give some respect to Dong. He was obviously up for this game, as it was probably the biggest game of his career. He has very explosive speed, and his stride is so long, that if you are moving forward, as some of these defenders were, then it's very difficult to backtrack to try to catch up with him. He virtually beat them from the first step. And to say that they were jogging is not only demeaning Dong's great play, but also trivializing the effect of the heat, and the fact that Park, Ruud, and later Saha, wore these guys out. Remember Dong was fresh, and these defenders had already played for over an hour in stifling heat. Dong is big and strong, so he is more imposing than Park. They barely touched him, and allowed him a lot of space, whereas they played very physically against Park. But ultimately, I don't think this was due to any national allegiance, but rather the fact that Dong can easily beat you with one step, like for example Joaquin, so they had to respect that; whereas Park lacks that initial burst of acceleration and his strides are more shuffly and short.

I don't think it was pre-planned, but Hong Kong's passing is very weak, and it was just a very bad mistake.

If that's all you remember about Joaquin, then it is rather sad. Joaquin dominated the Koreans during the whole match, and he was double or triple-teamed.

And it depends on how you view it; because Lee Woon jae came way off his line, and he was lucky to get away with it. Joaquin seemed to have had a bad cramp during the extra time - he was stretching his inner thigh muscles it seemed.

Joaquin is a great player. the guy can flat out start doing magic tricks when he gets the ball. probably one of the best right wingers in Europe currently.

Kimsuyun doesn't create the torrents. They are made usually by "VinceOMac" on the ********.com forum, so after you download, please thank him for his time and efforts - you need to do the free registration first. Here is the link to the first half:
