Manchester United vs Celtic ~ Toronto, ON, Canada ~ July 16th. @ Rogers Centre Highly unlikely that Park Ji-sung, Ki Sung-yong & Dr Cha will be with their teams but for you guys who've been following the Korean press since the boys got back to Seoul, any idea when they'll be rejoining? Might/Would have been a great chance to see our boys.
Guys, there's also THIS friendly for us to consider to hopefully see the Blue Dragon! Toronto FC vs Bolton Wanderers FC - Carling Cup - WED JUL 21st - Toronto, ON I know OC's giving him rest but there's a good chance he'll make that trip.
They will probably make the trip, regardless if they play or not. There are a bunch of financial opportunities for them. Toronto has somewhat of a large populations of Koreans. Maybe some Toronto Korean ahjushi(s) will scam one of their agents or reps into them coming.
It's been a good year for Korean Torontonians. 김연아 (who lives and is currently residing in Toronto) wins the Gold (although she treats us like lepers ... so I've heard). And there's good chance that we'll get to see 차두리, 기성용 and 이청용 this summer. Any other Korean Torontonians want to wave Tae-gukkis in the stands to catch our player's attention? Or maybe even stalk the team bus after the game, try to get some autographs ... I just hope it doesn't turn into another 추신수 debacle.
why wot happened? as far as LCY goes, i think most of us here wud be more geeked to see him than the others (saying this expecting PJS will not make it over). having said that, it sure wud be nice to see Ki and the Dr as well. as far as Choo goes, i know his manager in the past has said that he found it hard to give him a rest because he didn't want to disappoint Choo's fans in cities with large KOR communities. i wonder if OC has any clue about the number of KOR's who might show up for LCY in Hogtown.
i heard the toronto blue jays, they had a game with choo's team and dubbed it Korean day or something. so typically alot of koreans came to the stadium ... only to find out choo wasn't even there, what's worse was he wasn't even on the bench. news filtered through that he was at a popular gamja-tang restaurant during the game in uptown TO, people were pissed.
Something similar happened back in 2005 when Park Chanho was scheduled to make a start. I think he hit the DL just before the series and did not make the trip. It was very Park CH of him. Every season they have a Japanese day at Rogers Centre, and Ichiro is always there healthy and ready to go. Ha Seungjin came over when he was sent to the D-League a day prior. Why couldn't you and your lazy fatass have done the same 찬호형?
meh... if the duckets were cheap, maybe but... he's wot all the racist press thot Yao was gonna be. but Yao is the real deal.
There's a picture of me with that guy in my Cyworld somewhere. He crouched for me generously but I'm pretty sure he didn't know I was tip-toeing.
I'm on the fence too. I thought I would go for sure if it was announced at least one of our boys would show. But now not sure if its worth the $$$.
The octopus guesses whether or not you will go, not if you should go. People make their own decisions, but you are only going to end up with wasted money if you were to go.
dude save it for a jersey. A lot of new jerseys to choose from this year and a lot of them look great.
the 2 Koreans might not play and it's like $90 or something. Beside, the stupid jersey is something you can keep for a long time.
So are the memories of watching two members of the KNT at your home pitch. Might not play the full 90 but I think we'll see some glimpses of Ki and maybe even Dr.Cha. I would've made the 10+ hr drive if some of my friends were down, but most of them can't get off this Friday.
Lol sorry for voicing my opinion bro lol For me, I don't worship them enough to pay 90 dollars to just catch glimpses of them. Have already been to enough KNT friendlies. However, I do like a stupid jersey that will last for years and serve as a reminder to the player I liked and the games I watched. I like clothes. what can i say.
