Cut through most of that inept attempt at the English Language. The whole of England eh? I presume you didn't hear what Geoff Winter had to say, about Arsene Whinger and his 'selectionary vision'? 2 Million Utd fans in England mate. You got pwned.
Its soo cool lol, laugh @ spazzy fingermouse and Mad Cow disease LOLOLOL we beat the scum 2 nil. Im still buzzin and the more Whinger moans the better it feels. If Arsenal would have walked off with heads held high that 49 thing would have been remebered. But as it is, they and Whinger will only be remebered for whinning!! LOL
i'm sorry sir, where are you in the table again????? ohhhh thats right... we are leading the league.... AGAIN...... you might want to concentrate on YOUR next game... ffs manyoo, arrogance and ignorance
Not to defend Halsey, but you're wrong. The "reason" Halsey "reversed" his decision is because he fvcked up. He didn't look at his linesman before he pointed to the spot. By the time he finally bothered to go over and consult with his AR (who was holding his badge, meaning in ref speak "Uhh...we need to talk...") the damage was done. It was *hardly* Arsenal players swarming around him that made him "change his mind." He just botched his mechanics. Many a referee has botched a call in such a manner on a throw-in; the difference here is that it was too important a call to screw up so badly. I was embarassed to watch it myself. Of course Mike Riley didn't look at his AR, either. If only it worked. The only thing that could ever inspire an Arsenal player is a swift kick in the nads.
Bolton + Okacha are very impressive team. We didn't nend 2 hand balls in the box to tie a game against bottom half teams did we... Everton proceeded to own you until the last 12 mins or so. You guys teid a Bolton team - Okacha( who is their captian, insperation, and driving force), you only just struggled to a tie, atleast we made fight for that point. They need to have a skaking head emoticon on here....
Nah but you needed a ref to change his mind, two goals disallowed, and a Pires dive and a CROSSBAR to even get 49 muhahah.
yall, dunno why the card... but ill quit posting for a while... my mum is dying and i wont be around for a while.. maybe that was the angst.. sorry to bring this upon you lot.......... im beyond gutted..puts things into perspective..
A tie's a tie...whether making them tie us, or us tieing them, it's all worth 1 point out of three....so does it really matter how it happened?
your leading the league right now, but your squad is far too thin to lead the whole way, it's a marathon, not a 100 metre sprint, only from april to may is their a sprint, all the players will be hurting but they have to gut it out, until their replacement comes, that is where u guys fail, u can't put out a second 11 even NEAR the strength of ur first 11...
You are from bloody Sydney... who are you to lash out against glory hunters? (note, I am from Trinidad and u can call me a glory hunter if you want, i really dont care)
give me a break! We are just as deep as you. The only place we are thin is in defense. You are also thin there. If you are talking about just the number of players, then sure you have us beat. But, if you are talking about quality players then we are even. Have a good look at the two rosters. Arsenal. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/team?id=359&cc=5901 Man Utd http://soccernet.espn.go.com/team?id=360&cc=5901
alright the man utd second 11 IMO is Howard P neville Brown O shea Spector Fletcher Djemba2 Kleberson Richardson Smith Saha What is the arsenal second 11??
well actually i began supporting Bergkamp so when he went to Arsenal i began going for them wasnt much glory on them back then if i wanted glory then i would of supported Blackburn..geez now thats a larf
well then the Arsenal second 11 IMO is Almunia Hoyte Senderos Cygan Clichy Pennant Cesc Flamini Edu Reyes Van Persie I'd give you the nod for forwards. I like our midfielders better. The rest seems to be even to me.
Actually looking at those two teams, that would be a pretty darn good game. Most of the teams in the EPL would love to be able to field those teams.
I understand your point. But at the end of a day, a tie's a tie. Playing sexier footy doesn't get a team more points.
Sorta. And I'm not saying it cuz it's Arse. I'd make the same argument for ManU or Chelsea. And it's a point of order type thing, so to speak. There is something to be said for experience. Yes, Norwich is more than happy to borrow talent like Bentley for a year. But would they field a team full of young pups? In the premeirship? I think any one of those players most any team would be happy with. But not necessarily all of them together.
Look at the post just above mine. There was a post with 2nd 11s from both Arsenal and ManU. They look pretty good to me. I think there are some teams lower down that would like to have these as the core of their teams. I was trying to include ManU and I agree that Chelsea probably have a pretty strong 2nd 11 too.
Lol, United fan talking about a thin team. Considering that Arsenal have some of the best young talent in the prem as of right now, your argument is fairly baseless. Think about it, Sure United have Ronaldo and smith, and rooney. Two of which were young talent elsewhere and stolen to make up for United ppor Youth system(at the moment). Arsenal have, Flamini, Cecs, Bentley, Von Persi,(however you spell it) and Clichy. And that is just young talent. They then have Edu(an brazilian international, who current is a sub) in central mid, pennent(didn't include him with the young but i guess you could) for a winger, and Reyes. United shouldn't be talking about anybodies depth unless its Everton, or one of the just out of the coke league teams. Actaully, i think United have some players that should leave. Fortune and dj2 should leave United there is nothing for them there, even if in the next say 5 years ManU manage to win the title they won't even get a trophy cuz they haven't played 10 games. I could see Fortune at Everton or even NewCastle, they need someone like him, it might even inspire them beyond the heart they play with now(Everton). Or give NewCastle an offensive Depth, they looking kinda balanced on the head of a needle? I see Dj2 in Seria A he doesn't have a EPL mentallity, he looks "out of place" I don't know how to describe it, it just looks odd watching him play with ManU. But no one should doubt his talent, he is a very good baller! Some players just shouldn't be at a big club regardless of talent.
and that is the pot calling the kettle black...you said we imported our young talent...well all those players out their except for Bently have been imported so...MMMMKAY
I can't be bothered to read through all the posts so if this was said already, I'll bore you all with it. MUFC got the 3 points. Whether they got it fairly or unfairly doesn't change that mitigating fact. IMO, Fergie rolled the dice building the game up to get his side motivated for the season and kick start the season. That remains to be seen. If all 3 points aren't gotten at Pompey then the game's significance means nothing. Same with us, if we don't get all 3 v. the Saints, then the talk of a major slip caused by the 'loss' will be on everyone's lips. Liverpool was a must win game as well and MUFC went out and barely got by the scum with a dodgy penalty and couldn't score from open play and the week after, found themselves losing to a 'Boro side that had 6 starters missing including Hasselbaink and Viduka and barely got a draw out of the game. I don't see what's changed. But we'll have to see after the next week or two. MUFC may have stirred a hornets nest and helped us play even harder the rest of the way. Our handbags incident at OT last season helped us win the league and we play much better with a bunker mentality. The Arsenal players know (and now the free world does) that they were cheated out of a game. That's debatable to MUFC fans and I accept that. But the point is our players feel cheated and that helps us mentally. If MUFC's season is still going sideways as it has so far, then Arsenal can take comfort that at the return match, MUFC will be out of the title race and will be playing spoiler for Chelsea and if they don't win the FA cup or league cup, then the 'we beat Arsenal and stopped their streak' is their 'trophy' for the season. I take personal consolation in that we have gone 50 games without beaten FAIRLY. This game could e a blessing in disquise for us. Like OT was last year. I've oft wondered why the Arsenal players specifically didn't like RVN when there were more deserving candidates like the 'bad tacklling' Scholes and the 'awkward challenging' Neville, but Paddy has professed his respect for the ginger haired gnome and 'Handsome Marty' Keown has picked a Neville to captain his testomonial. The clip on Lehmann's ankle and the attempt to end Ash Cole's career was a relevation to myself and everyone. The camera caught him for what he is. So, the game is over. Nothing can be done about it now. We'll wait till May to see if there were any long term effects of it.
