To the numerous kind-hearted, football-loving, honest, decent, fair and balanced Manchester United fans that frequent this forum - I'm sorry. I'm sorry because I allowed my annoyance at one poster and severe dislike of another to overshadow your thread on Saturday's FA Cup Final. I'm sure we can all agree it was a poor game with very few moments of true quality from either side. As with any game between two evenly-matched and high-flying sides who both have passionate supporters, be they in the stands, the pubs, or their own homes; domestic and foreign alike, opinions will differ over who was marginally better or whether the officials got certain calls correct. But, unlike some Chelsea fans, I have a lot of respect for Manchester United as a club. Having lived in Manchester for the last four years I am close friends with many a United fan and I know that it is a proud club and that many of its supporters are, first and foremost, lovers of the beautiful game. I know that this type of fan does exist here in this forum and I'm sure they know who they are. The ones who already visit the Chelsea forum and those similar supporters from this board who do not, please consider yourself welcome in my eyes to pop over now and again to discuss the finer points of this purest of artforms and to offer light relief where light relief may be needed. It has, all told, been a great season - the best for years. Let's all hope that 2007/08 can come anywhere near it in terms of tension, excitement, and sheer quality. KTBFFH.
