I'm not really surprised, ever since I saw this kid play against Celta, I knew he was gonna be great like Viana. I hope he continues to progress and if he goes to England or Italy quickly he will get that experience, and he will be a force to reckon with in international competitions. It will hurt the Super Liga but it will improve the national team.
It is certainly impressive and a great reflection on the young player. That being said, he would considerably better served by spending at least TWO more years with Sporting. He is not even a starter for the club. Once Jardel and JVP are back in the fold, his spot on the pecking order will be further questioned. This kid is going to be a good one, but I hope that both SPorting and player think long and hard about what is the best for his longterm development.
