no i won't. it's equally as bad. no intensity and it is timid play. the opponent is irrelevant and the play has been dire. none of these goals have been magnificent. they've had a man goalside for all of them. it is simply poor
i mean if you're not gonna learn your lesson and get tighter... ironic that United has been the one picked off on the counter. the giveaway and goal costing error stats will be interesting
Gary Neville made a nice joke about how Foden and Haaland should split the match ball down the middle like they split the United defense.
For the 700 millionth time. The guy has a bad habit of just watching the ball go into the net. It's like he says "Fcuk that I am not in the mood to dive, hopefully it goes wide hehe." That shit is so damn annoying.
Erling Haaland and Phil Foden became the first teammates to score hat tricks in a Premier League game. Haaland has 11 goals, including 3 hat tricks. He is on pace for 52 goals, which is more than Messi (50) or Ronaldo (48) ever scored in a La Liga season. 19 players, which is 0.95 per club, scored at least 11 goals last season. Six of the last nine hat tricks have been by Manchester City. They are on pace for +95, and they have the goal differential record with +79 in 2017-2018. Manchester United has allowed the fourth most goals per game with 2.
Haaland is ridiculous. A giant ********ing cheat code In all honesty, he's an incredible 9, perfectly built for the modern game. 9 goals in the last 3 PL. Amazing.
SO glad I didn't watch this disaster... Can't wait to see the McAbominay apologists on YT comments and FB. lol
to be fair the defenders were the ones with non-existent marking. he wasn't great though. if anything they will probably use this as proof that Martínez can't cut it in the league and run the "he's short so he's bad" narrative again
Agreed. Its annoying to ship 6 goals, but I still feel confident it's different this time around versus last season or the first 2 games.
Weird that I am not bother by this, like, at all. Feels like Ten Hag tried something and it didn't work out so just move on and we will be fine against lesser opponents. With that said, i will go nuts if we drop points in the upcoming Europa match and/or against Everton.
I didn’t watch the match. All I will comment is to say that it’s hilarious how one week, United is a laughingstock and then the next week they are expected to compete with City. Currently, getting throttled by a City or Liverpool is not a big issue. This is still a work in progress. Pep didn’t do it in his first year. Neither did Klopp.
The queens death cost us two games at our peak form. Then the international break. So a whole month of no games.
We played like shit and should have shown more heart and effort like in the Arsenal game. But let’s be real with ourselves, City when at top gear are miles ahead of where we are. If they bring their A or even B games, they’re gonna smack us and that’s exactly what happened. Just gotta look ourselves in the mirror, realize we have a long way to go, and keep pushing.
Plus holding serve in a Derby match ain't that much to worry about. You lost to your rivals at home. That is not the end of the world especially considering the intl break and the 2 weeks before. Hard to come back from that and be ready for such a big rival in their home ground who is already a level above you to start.
Losing away to City is not an issue given where they are at. Having now seen the game, there were some aspects of the defeat though that were on us rather than them. In particular being out-numbered in the middle at times again. These could be a concern if they translate into our form against other oppo. We know we are still a work-in-progress. So will have to wait to see how our subsequent form pans out.
I dont get why we bought Case just to not use him. Like we all know that he will become the starter and McTurd the bench but why is it taking so long. I think Case, Fred with Ericksen present our best midfield.
