ManCity got €29M for their right flanker, who shall now be a ... something with Chelsea. As others have reported, Andy Cole may be headed back to Manchester, this time to City as a striking help, but the right flanker spot seems to be up for competition. Stuart Pierce will of course try to shop for replacements, still Claudio may make a claim on it.

one more signing and Chelsea can play the infamous 0-10-0 formation ----------------------------Cech------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------- SWP-Cole-Jarosik-Makelele-Tiago-Lampard-Geremi-Duff-Robben-?? ---------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps Chelsea should just purchase every single midfield player in the Premiership. They'd practically be assured another league title that way.
Wow, only 2 months removed and the Player of Year in the Premiership can't even make the starting 11...
i still like my idea of every other teaminthe premiership grouping together, and then forfeiting every chelsea match, and then giving the tropy to the 2nd place team
In all seriousness, I don't see SWP starting until someone gets hurt.. With Essien probably coming in he might not even be the first sub off the bench..
Everyone is talking about Cole on his way out. I'm in london and reading the papers, so I don't have links, but it's a common theme right now. Not that it means anything. As for SWP, aside from tripling his weekly to pounds 60k and getting his slice of the transfer, can't say I see this as a good move for him. course, those are mighty nice asides...
I always thought Cole was a bit overrated, but the second half of last year he was on fire, for club and country.. That XI, whichever XI you choose, will be so hard to crack.. Back to Man City: I think Reyna was on the right for the better part of their late season run, when SWP was injured. Then he moved to the center for the final couple games.. I get the impression Pierce likes him and will find a spot for him somewhere.. They really need to buy a striker or two.
I will be shocked if City miraculously avoids a relegation battle. They do need a striker... among several other things. I'm honestly surprised they haven't been rumored to look at a few USA players for wing/forward. What a stupid last sentence that was.
