Club is in the money, Scholes is back and looking to increase his Europe goal total, and SAF says this one will be harder than the last game.

Solskjaer and Kleberson did not travel with the team. Silvestre has a minor knee problem, and an injury to Carroll means Barthez will be the #2 keeper.

Stuttgart will be a tough nut to crack (especially at home). I believe they have yet to concede ANY goals in the Bundesliga this season.

They did, however, concede two to Rangers.

The huns for all their failings are quite handy going forward.

That would just be wrong. Funny, but wrong. Especially with Liverpool still technically in the title hunt!

I'm not putting Ruud on my UEFA CL fantasy squad for this game - Stuttgart makes me nervous this season. They have pace, a great defense (what happened against Rangers though?), and, as SAF says, are a strong counter-attacking squad.

I think I may go with a Crespo-Mutu pairing tomorrow for some goals! :) I have Makaay and Larsson today...

With Scholes back, have faith in United. Ruud scoring again, things look good.

I want 3 points but would probably settle for a draw, if United dont play well.

Good article - thanks for the link. Interesting what he says about our history against German teams in Germany.

How about this for today's lineup:

    --------------Howard----------------
    Nev.--Ferdinand--Silvestre--O'Shea
    Ronaldo--Keane--Djemba-Dj--Giggs
    --------------Scholes----------------
    ------------Ruuuuuuuuud-----------

I figure SAF will want to go with two defensive midfielders.

And Giggs has apparently been burning up the typewriter this week - his ICONS.COM diary entry is from Monday as well.

This one will be tough. Stuttgart has a very talented young team. I think they're a bit underrated. It's important for ManU to walk away from this one with a point.

We usually get a good run of games starting up on FSW live after Christmas...

If I lived in the city, I would *never* watch a game from home! You have the absolute best place in the USA to watch a match at Nevada Smiths. No cover and its the closest thing to being at the match that you'll get here State-side.

Go early though and stake out a good spot close to a TV.

Hands down the best. Go an hour early for non ESPN CL games towards the final though. I was literally almost trampled and pushed up against the door by the people trying to get in behind me when the bouncer wasnt letting anyone else in.... Luckily I got in though!

Definitely not the place for claustrophobes. If it were three times its capacity, it would still be packed.

Probably, I'm following on the internet.

Sir Alex loves the 4-5-1, especially on Euro away matches...

So far it looks like Stuttgard is controlling the game...
