So, now that Stillitano and Metro are making nice vis a vis promoting International Friendlies at Giants Stadium, anyone going? Or are we going to get another 2 months of "this doesn't help metro, I'm staying home" threads? Hopefully the security lines will be less of a clusterfu[k than they were last time for the Roma- Real game. Would be cool if they could sell out. If you missed the Real-Roma game, it was an awesome experience. The crowd was really juiced for that game. Much as I loathe to see the euroweenie fans, I hope we can get another 70k. I have 10 confirmed in my party and I haven't even started asking people yet. Tickets go on pre-sale this week and official sale March 15th. Also, the jive that you can only get 1 ticket per metromembership in the pre-sale is a pain in the Richie Williams. I'm trying to figure out if I should wear my Arsenal jersey or my Inter Milan jersey...(not really). Anyway...
Considering some of the neighborhood names in Jersey, he could do a lot worse. Hopatcong Hohokus Hackensack Tenafly Mahwah Red Hook Brunswick Tom's River Metuchen None a welcome option.
Tickets are frigggggin expensive!! And you can only buy the "category" and not the section/row/seat. IE. You can only say "Give me 2 $60 tickets" and not "Give me anything in Section113.
Well considering that the MAN has whooped the JUVEnile both in the Theatre of Dreams and in Turin, what's the suspense of a neutral site? Sorry, couldn't resist. -Tron
This is all very true. I have 6 season tix in my family, but we could probably take another 10-15 people to this game at this expensive price. I am thinking to wait till march 15 and go on line to ticketmaster and buy my own sits together from there. Something like 20 tix. Hope that idea will work. For some reason people are nuts about this game. The only reason I go because I love soccer and having 70 k it is an experience we rarely get to see. It is bs that they do not allow the Metros office to sell as much as they can, what is the difference, i just don't get it.
If I'm going to spend top dollar to get my live soccer fix during the Metro's 5 week absence from Giants Stadium this July/August I'd rather spend it on a Gold Cup doubleheader.
Because the Metrostars organization has nothing to do with this game. I suspect that an agreement has been met between the two companies that allows Metros to sell the tix early and get a small percentage of the profit from those tickets sold. But thats all. "You can sell to 'your' customers only" You arent calling Metrostars on monday to get your tix, you are calling ticketmaster. You need your account number to get the tickets. Thats the way they are determining that you are a season tix holder and not "joe public"
Oh realy? I haven't heard of this, is it confirmed ? who is playing ? Well i guess I will wait till March 15 and get those 20 tix then from ticketmaster
Actually, you are calling the MetroStars. I go tmy letter and says to order tickets (fax, web, mail, phone) through the MetroStars. Tickets will not be available through Ticketmaster until Sat, March 15th.
That's what mine told me too, and I believed her until I got the letter today. So, call your "rep" and ask them to read the letter and then buy you tix.
March 15 I think, but now there's the news Barca might be entering the Intertoto cup which would mess up their US tour.
