Just want to see who's going to this game, us juve fans have to unite (defenite pun intended). What does everyone think about this game, hopefully there will be no flu bug in late July.
far from mickey mouse....did you see what McBride did for Everton?... All I meant was they picked a weekend where the MetroStars were not home to host the manu/juve game at Giants Stadium.....thats all.
Yeah, IIRC the league's schedule was in place before the tour was set up, so no, MLS did nothing special to accomodate this game.
MLS games shouldn't be a problem. The game is July 31 (a Thursday). As far as I know there are no conflicts with this game. (I've got two tix for this game.) When MLS does coincide with the "tour" matches, they will probably be double header matches, such as with the Juve/Barca match in New England (Gilette Stadium) on July 27 (Sunday). It will be a double header day with DC United vs New England Revolution. (I'm planning on going to this match, but don't have tix yet.)
The only list of summer games I have found is for Man U. Anyone know of a list other Juve, Cletic and Barca games in the US this summer?
The "tour" is a total of 4 games, 2 of which will be played in cities that don't have MLS teams. So, no, there will not be any disruption of the domestic league schedule by Man U's money grab.
Juve will be playing Barca in Boston on July 27th. ManUre and Barca will be playing in Philly in July. Celtic will be playing on the West Coast I believe.
Tottenham (Spurs) play DC United on May 14th at RFK. dunno about any others. as for the time of the Man Utd/Juve game: it's 8pm at Giants Sta. have my tix and the hotel booked already. looking forward to it.
So Juve is just playing 2 games? Or have they only announced 2 games, with the possibility of more on the east coast?
