I posted this message from the Celtic website here because it concerns Man U and Leeds wankers.

"The West Yorkshire Police department have received information that a tiny minority of the travelling Manchester United fans visiting Leeds for the clash on Saturday, may hang around the area after their game has finished.

There is a chance that they may head over to Belle Vue in the hope of meeting Leeds fans.

(You'd never have guessed we were in the 21st century - would you? The only indication that we are, is these protosentients now use the internet to arrange things )

In order to aviod any incidents, the bars around the area will not be serving alcohol prior to the game Emley/Celtic game, with the exception of the Coach and Horses next to the ground (the one with the lookout over the pitch that's never used).

There will be no alcohol available inside Belle Vue either."

Not only do I have travel to the sh!t hole that is Wakefield to watch the Blues play dismal football, now I can't drink anywhere but a sh!tty pub and have to be wary of arsehole Man U and Leeds fans beating the sh!t out of each other.

Involving the other Belle Vue club, we've already been affected by that game. If there was a problem with that, it should have been them to move.

Lower down the pyramid, people are interested in supporting their club, and both sets of fans can tend to get along. It's a sad inditement of the state of the top football clubs in this country.

Well, as Luton and Watford showed last weekend and Millwall and Stoke show on a more or less weekly basis, the idea that only the top of football is blighted in this fashion is not vastly accurate. Even though, relative to Stalybridge Celtic they too, of course, are "top" of the football pyramid.

As to the United firm, it's hardly news, is it? They have one of the most active units in the country.

Please, lets not foget the trouble so-called Cardiff fans cause when they travel. When we played them a couple of weeks ago they trashed a couple of the bars in the town centre. threw chairs at passers by and screamed they stupid cardiff songs at us. I mean, they were women with their children shopping.....what on earth has that got to do with footie. In fact what on earth do these people have to do with it!!!!

Funny how it's always the English with big mouths about 'fair and clean toe to toe' while in reality they're pretty good at beating the ************ out of innocent people.

I agree 100% that this is a sad thing. Violence is one thing, directing it at people who have no part in these things is another.

    That's the Welsh for you.

In england it usually is the fair and clean toe to toe (when they aren't throwning things at each other.)

Absolutely right, I've lost count of the number of times that I've heard from self righteous hooligans that they only target fellow hooligans...

Can someone explain to me then how in the seventies I managed to get the cr*p beaten out of me at Maine Road when I (a United fan) was attending a tesimonial game for Glyn Pardoe?...

Or how come a Tottenham fan thought it would be a good idea to beat the cr*p out of me (a seventeen year old) at Watford Gap, also in the seventies?...

I have never looked for trouble but it often has a tendency to find me...

Always because of the Neanderthal thinking of these mentally deficient idiots...
