A very tough game...man city will not want to lose this game as a loss may let them slip into the bottom 4 if other results don't go their way...a draw for me would be a good result.

    My probable lineup...

    --------------Gomes----------
    Hutton--Woodie--King--Corluka
    Bentley--Jenas--Hudds--Lennon/Bale
    --------------Modric----------
    --------------Bent-----------

    Subs
    Cesar
    Zokora
    O'Hara
    BAE
    Lennon/Bale
    Campbell/Ghaly/Taabart/KPB
    Pavy

After the last two weeks, I would also be happy with a draw -- especially away.

Anyone know whether O'Hara will be back for this one? I have a vision of him shackling Robinho, and really believe he'll be up for it.

O'Hara is suspended during the UEFA cup game...if he is not injured, he will surely at least be on the bench...

Hope Ledley is out there and also who do we stick on Robinho. I would love it if we could give him the buisness. I will come on here after I watch it on FSC at 4:30. Later.

Yeah we might have the end of the honeymoon here. Tough game, although we always did well against Citeh until the loss last year, which was a bit unlucky as I recall (1 of their goals offside, while we had a good one disallowed...?)

I'm pessimistic about Ledley's availability and Jenas may not be fit enough to start, so I'd predict

    -----------Gomes---------
    Hutton-Woody-Corluka-Bale
    Bentley-Zoks-Hudd-Lennon
    -----------Modric---------
    ------------Pav-----------

On their day, they can take teams apart - let's just hope it's not their day. Kompany is suspended. Could be a high-scoring game.

Like Hauler, I'll be watching the tape delay.

Look's to be a good game fella's, two attacking sides. Hope it lives up to the promise, and that we replicate the form against HR earlier this year :D. Seriously though, i respect Tottenham's playing ability even if they haven't fired consistently this year, they are in a bit of good form now. Good luck, but not too much.

Imbalance formation imo. No left winger. Is it to neutralise Robinho?

1-1. Good performance so far at the half here. I think that every goal Bent scores goes between the keeper's legs. In any case, I think we've got the ability to pull this one out.

In the 2nd half, let's get BAE off for Lennon. Then Corluka at leftback, Zoks at right.

Let's try to win it instead of drawing against 10 men...

Pass it around, tire them out.

We need to make the possession count. We won't be dominant the whole game.

    Hmmm.

I don't think the introduction of Lennon is right. His greatest asset is speed, and lets face it, we're not exactly hitting them on the counter-attack are we?

We need to score to make Citeh chase the game. Then we could hit them on the couter.

BAE makes some great crosses. Shame he's not a brilliant defender.
Lennon about to come on for someone. Probably Modric.

Bent is the new Clive Allen.

Very astute Jum. But just to play devil's advocate, he is also a nice forward dribbler in traffic, so he might just cause the defense to collapse on him and pass to Modric etc.

Our supreme lack of Bale is making me really wonder about the whole pile of Bale away rumors. :( It would be a tragedy if Bale left IMHO. If he does, maybe our pipe dreams of getting Wayne Bridge to settle for peanut wages is true?

I actually like Mark Hughes, and I definitely don't want to see him get sacked ... but I want him to lose this game. Presto, they play a very aggressive attacking lineup and his only defensive midfielder goes and sucks on the stupid lollipop, lolerskates! To quote "Syndrome" from the move The Incredibles, "This is just too good." ;)

Well done Benty! Still outscoring Berbs and Keano combined.

    COYS!
