Probably the Thanskgiving table. On his 6th course by now.

Seriously the last I heard was the Middle East. From there he may have went to Asia or Europe. Don't remember. Maybe I'll try a search ...

last summer, in Swedish Premier League
    IFK Göteborg

went to Alhy in Saudi Arabia from MLS

last fall, released by Goteborg, went to "smaller league"

it's a fine question, but doing these searches first gives everyone a starting point

wow, I was pointing out the search function in July

    this July, Diallo in Malaysia

and here's the latest news clipping from Malaysia

"Coach Zainal Abidin Hassan, hoping to emulate former teammate Dollah
Salleh by winning the Malaysia Cup in his first season with Pahang, showed
plenty of guts when he opted to start the match without former Senegal
star, Mamadou Diallo, who was only fielded for the last 10 minutes."

Amazing...this guy was such a talent that he wanted to get loaned to the French league so he'd have a shot (and from all reports, a very good shot) of making a squad that made the quarterfinals of the World Cup. Now he's worn out his welcome in more places than the British imperialists of the 19th century. What a head case.

So let me get this straight: He's now in the Malaysian league and not even starting? Wow, how the mighty have fallen.

I saw him on TV a little while back playing for his national team.

I was in shock when I saw him. He lost a lot of weight and he's skinny. It looks like the weight he lost took away his talent. He came in as a sub and didn't do much.

I was watching the Man U. vs Lyon game on Tuesday and saw a player from Lyon score a goal from about 30 yds back....for about 10 min I swear I thought it was Diallo. The guys name sounded very similar and I knew that alot of players from Africa and Senegal in particular play in the French league so I thought it might have been possible. Turns out it wasnt him of course but some player with a similar name and look.

There is actually a Mamadou Diallo who plays for Mali, I think... that one's playing in Tunisia, IIRC, and is actually being watched by European scouts.

I also know of a Mahamadou Diallo somewhere in Europe.

I'll never forget the time the Big Mama jumped in the stands and attacked a Rapids fan who then fought off Diallo with his umbrella.

Do that in the NBA and look what happens.

Yes but one of the charms of soccer is how ridiculous it can be at times. I want someone to revive pretending to be a dog peeing on the corner as a celebration. Who was that anyways?

Where most of us remember it from was when Collins John did it for Fulham last season.

Thanks. But if you really wanted to help you should have tied him in the middle of the town square and smothered him in ligonberries..then allowed villagers to hurl hot swedish meatballs at him from the smörgåsbord.

    I hate Big Mama.

That was Nigeria in the 1994 World Cup. They were 1-1 going into their last game at Foxboro vs Greece, who had lost twice. The Greek manager (forgot his name, but he ran for office in one of the right wing parties) said that he would rather be urinated on by a dog than to lose to Nigeria.

Nigeria won, 2-0 and after each goal several players went to the corner flag and lifted a leg...

Never understood why so many people are so quick to hate on the foreign stars. Big Mama did his job - he scored goals. What was the problem?

Reportedly the guy he attacked in the stands was yelling racist stuff at Big Mama who unfortunately was the only person with balls enough to do something about it. From what I read at the time the players on the field weren't surprise when Diallo ran into the stands. The league fined Diallo but made no statement about fan racism, which if anyone hasn't noticed is a HUGE problem in football.

The other famous incident was the Mike Ammann injury, which looked completely accidental to me. It's surprising that more keepers aren't injured when diving towards the feet of a 200 lbs striker. Diallo even tried to visit Mike at the hospital - who refused to see him.

However, I won't defend Big Mama's fondling incident at the ALL-STAR Game. I do have my limits!

There was a player about a year ago of the same name playing for an Algerian Club who was one of the leading scorers in the African Champions League. I assumed it was our Big Mama, but I never checked in detail.

don't know where he is and don't really care. But what I do know is he was good for the league and should be brought back if he's any good.

I thought I saw him in France just as recently as a week ago. I was watching French League highlights, and there he was. Same name, same size. Same result...he scored. So, i'm pretty sure it was him....but don't quote me on that.

EDIT: I just checked, they are not the same person.....But they looked very much alike, had the same name........

He had talent but his attitude just destoyed him. That could probably sum up his career.

Were the reports that the guy was yelling racist stuff ever confirmed though?? IIRC it was pretty much Diallo's word against the guy's.
