I remember when Bryan Robson returned to Old Trafford as manager of Middlesboro the first time. He walked out on the field with the whole stadium singing "There's only one Bryan Robson" as he took a lap applauding the crowd. Then Man United beat the crap out of Boro. I would expect something similar. Its a different situation. Bob left (with good justification -- but we can still make fun of him), while Peter had no where to go here. Remember, he retired from playing to stay with our front office instead of goving to the Revs. If we wanted to give him his first coaching experience, we could have, but chose not to. Therefore, All the Best Peter (except for the obvious).
Peter Nowak is a god here. He can go slum with DC for a few years but we all know when The Chan passes over Bail Out Bob to become next head coach of the US National Team, and DC can get their boy Broose back, Peter Nowak will return gloriously to Chicago to lead us again.

No, quite the contrary. I was worried that someone would suggest a similar bashing for Peter as the one for Bob (who I agree is not in the same celestial orbit as Peter).
