    Born 1985 or later:

[LINEUP-4-4-2]Balotelli, Rossi, Criscito, Montolivo, Poli, Abate, Santon, Ranocchia, Bonucci, De Silvestri, Sirigu[/LINEUP-4-4-2]

I just want a simple 4-4-2 to begin with...I can't remember if Guido Marilungo can play left wing or not. The centre of midfield may be too soft as well; Antonio Nocerino isn't doing bad at Palermo I don't think.

This team would have made it to the 2nd round. There's a lot of players who are hungry, unlike the 2006 leftovers with no motivation.

Christ, I forgot about Marchisio. He didn't have a good tournament, at all, but he's got to play in central midfield to get a fair shot. Him for Poli in 'my' formation.

    Forgot about Curci too.

Marilungo can definitely play left wing. He's super fast, very skilled, and has a deadly left foot. He kicked butt with Lecce this year. Should get a good chance in Serie A this year. My guess is Samp will take him back and start him.

Like him or not, Marchisio actually is a player of considerable quality when he's not being foolishly played out of position, as was the case under Lippi. Marchisio is a midfield warrior who would provide some extra defensive stability, and combine it with a decent skill-set. If played in the proper role, he can be very, very effective. Trying to make him into a trequartista or a winger like Lippi did at the World Cup though was nothing more than a failed expirement, and unfortunately it made Marchisio look bad as a result.

Foggia is 27 years old and rotting on the bench at Lazio, while Giovinco is rotting on the bench at Juve.

I think you've got the back 5 of the future....think we can do better to partner Balotelli and we need to do better with that midfield 4. Criscito's not a winger but Abate could be top class if he got to start on the week each wing with a club.
