Mak and her green card

Freedom midfielder Anne Makinen has had to go through plenty of red tape before she gets to put on her blue and white uniform each season. Visa applications and paperwork have delayed the citizen of Finland each season, but that won’t happen in 2003 after Makinen earns her green card.

“I talked to (Freedom GM) Katy Button and asked her if it was a possibility. Since I have been here in the States for the past six years, we thought it would be possible for me to get a green card,” Makinen said.

by law, wouldnt this give the freedom an allocation because they would have one less foreigner.

g4m: I think so to, and if the Chinese players do not return as they wish to stay with their National Team for the WWC, then the Freedom sure have a couple of foreign spots up for grabs.

Which brings me to the next point...has anyone heard of any news on Kelly Golebiowski & how her trail with the Freedom went?
