This just in! ----------------------------- In a desperate, last ditch effort to save their club, San Jose's management has agreed to trade Landon Donovan, Dwayne De Rosario, and Ian Russel to the Galaxy in exchange for 500 fans. While this would double the size of their fan base, most believe that even this desperate move won't save them from eventual relocation further north. Further more, the fans themselves may make the trade impossible to follow thru on. A few LA natives said they would never support a new team, but they were a tiny fraction compared to the vast majority who said they would rather slit their wrists than move to the wasteland that is San Jose. A man who wishes to remain anonymous said after hearing of his selection to go, "As much as a want the Galaxy to succeed, I can't do this to my family. If it were just me that had to relocate to San Jose and beg for a job with the locals, I could probably do it for a year." Choking back tears he added, "But they want my children to go too! My CHILDREN! They would never be able to adjust back into a civilized community without years of psychiatric counseling. I love my Galaxy, but cannot make that sacrifice. There must be another way!" We'll keep you posted on further developments. ------------------------ From the BS Newscenter
No offence, but that was the stupidest post i've read on BS in along time.. Not trying to be a troll, just to wish you guys good luck in the next game, but had to read this and respond.
Actually, I believe you misread the article. It actually said: LA Galaxy trades Carlos Ruiz, Cobi Jones and Simon Elliott for 30 acre feet of good, NorCal water!
I thought is was pretty dang funny, and I wish it would have been started in the Rivalry Forum... Topper
Why would we trade for something we already get? We can afford to buy water. You guys can't even buy fans.
No offence, but a Quack fan calling it stupid could be considered a great compliment if not for the fact it was a half wit who wrote it.
I wouldn't have a problem if some cool Moderator type moved it to the Rivalries section Just wanted my fellow Galaxy fans to see it first.
The water thing. You would think SJ is located right smack in the heart of the Sierras. Trust me -no one down here would drink water that flowed THROUGH San Jose.
