President Michael Hitchcock tweeted a major player signing on Monday. Who might it be? What position does San Antonio need to shore up?

Probably a forward -- they get chances, they just have a few problems finishing. Or, it could be a right-midfielder, I don't think they have a solid starter in this position yet.

The guy sounds promising, but will his age be a factor. Not sure it really matters as San Antonio could use the help to stay top of the league.

It's a great signing. Jeff just adds another dimension to the team. What other team in the NASL or USL is signing players with this type of experience?

Just 2 years ago he was playing for the US National Team. I think this will turn out to be a good pickup, though I haven't seen him play recently. The scary thing is that his success had a lot to do with his speed ability. I don't know how much he has slowed?

considering his goal output the last couple of seasons and where he was failing to score those goals, I'd venture to guess that his speed is mostly gone. He'll be 36 in a few short weeks.

You guys have one of the best forwards in the league, why not spend the kind of money Cunningham likely demands on strengthening the midfield or even the backline instead?

Hopefully he does well as it could mean decent headlines for the NASL and might attract other aging stars of the past who still have something to offer to keep playing in our league.
