I stumbled upon these forums via a search for something. I noticed that there seems to be only 1/3 mods who are active. A lot of links/posts here seem to be spam. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forums/equipment-and-gear-off-topic.1292/
There's also a lot of visible fora from international competitions from years past. I've also noticed a lot of mods who haven't posted in many months. @dark knight??
Do you think she meant to spell her username that way? I kid of course. We don't always spend time cleaning up absent mods, but if anyone would like to fill a vacancy they should always let us know.
It was eons ago, but there used to be check-in threads a few times a year, just to make sure people were still around. If it was my call, I'd be thinking about resurrecting that idea. I'd just de-mod people who haven't posted in 3-4 months unless they give a valid reason. Maybe the forums don't need a third or fourth mod, but if it's been 2019 or 2014 or whatever since their last post, it's probably time to email them and see why they haven't posted or just de-mod. I hate to sound so tough about it, but it's also about the site coming off as more professional if things are current.
https://www.bigsoccer.com/forums/tv-satellite-radio.688/ Between Sir Fozzie and Real Corona, one user's last post was last year and the other was two months ago today.
The problem here is that this thread reeks of bots. The moderator? Search doesn't bring up the most recent posts. If someone were to report a thread in that forum, where would it go? https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/the-benefits-of-sports-camp.2042215/
