This got known today. His lawyer signs a new contract in Stuttgart for him until 2005, while Magath today flies to Puerto Rico for vacation. Consequently Magath rejected the offers from Austria Vienna and Schalke.

Magath got the security to spend more money for transfers after reaching the Champions League that guarantees income of about 16 M for Stuttgart. While Kuranyi suddenly hesitates to extend his contract (currently until 2005), Stuttgart is linked with several players. These include the Leverkusen trio Jurica Vranjes, Boris Zivkovic (both reportedly free transfers although I'm not sure with Zivkovic) and Thomas Brdaric. Latter one also is linked with Frankfurt, who might want him and Thomas Kleine in a trade for Jermaine Jones, who otherwise leaves to Leverkusen in 2004 without compensation.
