The team was already in first and was first the whole season so looking back, I can't blame the coach,” said Corboz referencing a lack of initial playing time in his interview with OneGoal. “[The coach] had no reason to change anything, and at the time, it was also a team that had just been relegated from the second division and kept the core of players together, so they were all experienced players.” So, after playing nearly 350 minutes and picking up an assist for Duisburg, Corboz knew it wasn’t meant to be as the club continued on its trek to winning promotion back to the 2. Bundesliga.
