Bielefeld playing in Dresden today. It’s currently 1-1 in the 70th. For Dresden a player named Ben Bobzien just came on. I looked him up because of the unique name and Wikipedia says “Bobzien is a native of Giessen, Germany. He is of American descent, with a grandfather from Atlanta.” Has he been discussed around here? I don’t think so but just found it interesting and was wondering if he had been looked into before. The YA investigators are very good.
Wild derby match today vs playoff contender and 4th placed Paderborn. Captain Mael steps up and scores a 90th minute PK to level the score 2-2 and earn a very valuable point for Bielefeld. Bielefeld scored in the 24th minute and Paderbron had two 1st half goals very controversially wiped away via VAR. Paderborn came storming out of the gate at halftime and eventually go up 2-1. They were hammering Bielefeld most of the 2nd half with Bielefeld is barely hanging on. Bielefeld earn a PK at the stroke of 90 minutes and Mael steps up a buries it. The point gives Bielefeld some breathing room and they move up to 14th just two points from safety. Mael was pretty darn good on both ends of the pitch for Bielefeld and so was Paderborn’s Yank, Santi Castaneda.
