Attitude issues were one of the reasons why no serious clubs picked him up earlier, and why he was available at a relatively good price point. It seemed he got over them at the end of his Lyon days, but I guess he'll always have that edge. It's clear the guy probably expected a much larger role this WC and just couldn't get over his disappointment when it was clear – to no one's surprise, except his own – that Dembele and Olise were ahead of him. Not good.

Was abit surprised Cherki was hooked at HT. He was at times the only one who pressed while the rest walked about. I supposed if you have to sacrifice someone in order to bring on Dembele it had to be Cherki. Terrible if true that he spoke disrespectfully to his coach. What is it with players these days.
