Somebody showed me a stat that I haven't really checked on, but apparently Adeyemi does one or two things at an absolutely elite/top of the game level and effeciency, so this is supposed to be a transfer that's completely analytically driven, just like Gordon was.

Dortmunds CEO with some eye opening statements. Saying that they barely Crack the top 10 now and clubs like Aston Villa are almost sure to surpass the both in the short and the long run. Only answer has to be to out work, out perform everybody just to retain a spot in the top tier of European football. I think German football feels the most "Premier League" dread out of every league in Europe at least in my experience.

Great club, but remembering our record at their cursed ass ground I hope they go straight back down to Segunda
Had no idea that he has a 35 million release clause. Would have liked him for that money. One of the few classic midfield playmakers left with bags of experience. The type of profile we're missing, could have been useful for our midfield.

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Hansi Flick is reshaping Barcelona's coaching staff ahead of the 2026-27 season while keeping his core leadership team intact.· The main addition is German fitness coach Benjamin Kugel, a trusted Flick associate, who replaces Julio Tous, the previous fitness coach.… pic.twitter.com/2LfizZwyoH— The Touchline | 𝐓 (@TouchlineX) July 13, 2026
His website: https://fastforward.football/ Has a long track record and a lot of success with players in the past.
A Money Ball type of strategy, which seems like Flick's approach. Gordo is going to cause a lot of La Liga teams trouble next year. Adeyemi, I'm not so convinced aboutm although he did run rings around our players in the CL final.
Gordon was apparently signed because the highest efficiency numbers he's had fit exactly what Barca have been doing in their offense, it's a 1:1 match, and Adeyemi is statistically one of the top 5 fastest players in Europe in a footrace vs defenders. Both players were signed as a tool to use, not as a package/option.
€100m is just crazy. 🚨 Man City pushing hard for Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille. High among 18yo’s suitors (#PSG not in contention) & while others favour season on loan at #LOSC, #MCFC would integrate now. Price ~€100m + Morocco int’l expected to make decision soon @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/W4oq8mi9RD— David Ornstein (@David_Ornstein) July 14, 2026
Not ready to make an impact as a starter at that level imo. If Rodri can stay healthy, Bouaddi will be a bench option for next 3 years. City's transfer business in last 3 years has been similar to that of Chelsea and now they have got ex Chesea coach replacing Pep as well.
Fully agree. I also wasn't aware of his low release clause. Always rated him highly and was very surprised he wasn't picked up by a top club after his time at Leicester. Great player and an exceptional signing for Man Utd.
Villa signed him on a free transfer as well. He's been available as a market opportunity signing for years.
Thats the right way to build a team, not like we do by collecting superstars and then fitting them like square pegs in round holes. I dont know if part of the reason why we do it like that is because we just dont want to admit theyre right and we just want to do the opposite of them.
