Haven't spent time watching goalkeeper coaching since forever, but we used to call the box in front of goal the "goalkeeper area", basically, anything beneath a punch in the face is perfectly ok to defend your goal. Problem is that most goalkeepers would rather do a little chestbump flail combo and fall down like a chicken asking for a free kick than display control of the area.
Removing dynamism and strength from football hasn't made it more technical or creative, it has made it more formulaic and reliant on repeating patterns. This is the reason why i like Wenger's offside suggestion. I gives further emphasis/advantage to good athletes.
mira incredible how they let themselves be manhandled when as you said it’s basically a free pass to do as needed besides being physically and purposefully violent .
🚨 BREAKING: Manchester United are set to win the race for Mateus Fernandes!Real Madrid also want him, but he is increasingly likely to move to United. The deal will cost over €92M. @TimesSport pic.twitter.com/ga0PJsCp1E— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) June 12, 2026 Looks like Mateus is going to Manchester
Does United have an unlimited money glitch or something? After all those years of underachieving and overspending you'd think they would press on the brakes but they just keep going.
Once again missing out on all the right players....and when Elche looks like prime Barca against us we will wonder why our midfield can't string 2 passes together Lessons not learned the non existing midfield will continue
They are clinging to the hope that one day they will start winning trophies. Until then, this seems to be their only way of attracting players. Otherwise, Fernandes would likely choose Real Madrid, Manchester City, or another top club. With Pep gone from City and Liverpool and Chelsea no longer operating on a different level, this may be their best chance in the last 13–14 years.
They’re still rich. Plus have got back into the CL so will be hoping they can push for more next season, it’s one of the destinations I can see Vinicius ending up next season if he leaves.

They want build a stadium projected at £2bn - that will only rise as time goes by and construction starts, that's a given. By the end of this, Man Utd could be around $3billion in debt that's not counting for anything else, other than the debt they have now and the stadium.
We paid €63m for a 17-year old Argentine from River Plate last summer, €93m is standard EPL business these days..
Quite the opposite actually lol. Canada banned Partey because of his individual actions. USA is banning people based on where they’re from or who they are.
Only the CL turns Perez on more than hijacking deals e.g. Bernardo and Guler from Barcelona, Tchouameni and Camavinga from PSG and Bellingham from Liverpool I don't know the kid but journos saying Jose wants him. Will we buy before we sell?

Meh they should ignore it like barca, City, PSG and many others have done. Rules never apply for them so why should they for the rest
