I'm not surprised at this. A 27% cost overrun in an inflationary environment for a project of this scale is kinda expected.

 

your missing the point. They still have 2/3 of the renovations to complete. It’s going to be more than a 28% overrun when it’s finished.

 

If they're asking for €0.4B more to add onto the €1.5B they've already borrowed, the difference is 26.667%.

As to that report by Marca, I don't know where they're getting the "2/3 of the renovations to complete;" Camp Nou has the 1st & 2nd levels complete, with only the 3rd level and roof to finish.
