Pure GOLD HERE WE GO!
HERE WE GO! Oferta irrechazable. pic.twitter.com/ChQivcgYFd— Atlético de Madrid (@Atleti) May 29, 2026
Ibrahima Konate is leaving Liverpool after his contract expires in June 30th. Given Florentino's preference to get defenders for free, he will probably pick him up. I don't think Konate is that good. At least not enough for RM.
💣🚨 BREAKING - Atlético Madrid call out Barça for Negreira and fake news about Alvarez!"No, Atlético Madrid would never do something like that. However, for the past few months, we have been subjected to a relentless campaign against one of our players. • Just like PSG last year, Arsenal will try to win their FIRST Champions League title. They have that same motivation, how powerful is that?🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Luis Enrique: "Okay, and we are trying to win it for the SECOND YEAR in a row! Atlético are basically saying that Fabrizio is a Barcelona mouthpiece. 💣🚨 MAJOR BREAKING - Atlético Madrid with ANOTHER statement to @mundodeportivo, calling out Barça, FABRIZIO ROMANO and EL CHIRINGUITO:"It may seem like a joke or humor, but this is very serious. We’ve been very angry with FC Barcelona for quite some time. It was done… pic.twitter.com/9YFaRddc6E— Atletico Universe (@atletiuniverse) May 29, 2026
Gordon Official. Barca moving fast. If we don’t make some serious signings, we can forget from laliga 3 consecutive seasons
Gordon ? Really? This is really what scares you? I am actually pretty happy they signed him, that means he is taking minutes from a lot better players in my opinion, literally everyone they have right now in that position is better than Gordon.
I believe this is the first time I have ever respected Atletico on anything. They are punching back even if its just through social media. It makes Barca look like a joke.
For whatever it's worth, Barcelona are making the moves they feel like they have to do, while Real Madrid are in an internal institutional struggle. But sure, allow me to clap and party about Atleti firing off that tweets that nobody give a f about.
The reason Madrid basically doesn't buy from another Spanish club anymore. Both Barca and Madrid have positioned themselves against the, so whenever they come knocking for a player, they will try to make them walk over hot coals and shards of glass. This stuff is more to impress their own fanbase, but if we really get down to it, it serves neither the club nor the player.
Hope all this public drama means Atleti won't sell Alvarez to Barca. Think only PSG will come close if they stick to 150 M valuation.
That could also mean they're stuck with a player their own fanbase is booing and they're practically making their own team worse in the process. I don't feel like this is the kind of "lol owned" moment Atleti think it is, but they're being raided for players all the time, so I'm guessing this is kind of a response to that.
Levy took a stance that Spurs would only sell their stars abroad. Stopped Kane from joining City in 2021. Atleti should do the same with Barca. They were never gonna sell stars to RM anyways.
Arsenal could become the 3rd first time CL winning club since 2022. City did it in 2023 and PSG last summer. Think we have only had Dortmund (1997) and Chelsea (2012) as first time winners between 1994-2022.
Least hype I've ever experienced for a CL final that isn't two teams from the same country. Happy for Arsenal fans but this final is as dull as PSG Inter was. At least being at the final meant meeting people like Robert Carlos, Figo and Kaka.
From what's being said, Iraola had the job promised for a while and this "public support" for Slot was a bit of a show to keep things moving until the season was over.
