I doubt that they can stay. Edited. I really want Tottenham to go down. More so than any La Liga team.
🚩NEW: Complications have emerged in Sergio Ramos’ proposed takeover of Sevilla. Sources say some investors behind the bid are reconsidering their position after the selling shareholders made changes to previously agreed terms in recent hours. Concerns also exist over delays to… https://t.co/gzFAZle9Zt— Guillermo Rai (@GuillermoRai_) May 20, 2026
I know he won't be advised as such by his 'team', but I feel Sergio should pull out of this deal. This may not end up well for him. Not to mention he's the only one that'll be fully exposed when things don't go according to plan.
Is it me or is Ramos "buying" Sevilla getting alot more traction than when CR7 bought Almeria. CR7 has a 25% stake which is significantly more control than anything Ramos would have if this deal goes through. (I think i was just distracted in Feb because Almeria became the 5th most followed Spanish Club post acquisition). Also interesting to note is that Almeria are currently in 3rd place and are a couple of playoff wins away from being back in La Liga. They're also 3 points behind 2nd place Deportivo with 2 games to go - which would be an automatic promotion. Versus getting an about to be relegated Sevilla. That said would prefer having Racing and Depor back in La Liga for the nostalgia factor.
It's because Sevilla is a significantly bigger club but you have a point in terms of property control. I've read that the issue with the Sevilla sale is that the people buying the club have to provide guarantees that show that they can cover Sevilla's crippling debt.
Sevilla avoided relegation already. Almeria are a small club who have rarely played in La Liga. Sevilla are La Liga mainstays in this century and won a record 7 Europa League titles in last 20 odd years. Seville is also a famous city from Spain and derby between Sevilla and Betis is one of the important ones in La Liga. Ramos coming from Sevilla academy also adds the emotional storyline in the media which is what the fishy prospective owners are using to mislead the public though he actually owns a very small share.
Barca didn't pay the refs. They just paid millions to VP of ref committee who decided which refs officiated the games and he had the power to demote refs based on his evaluation of their performance. Evil media and several Spanish clubs targeting innocent Barcelona claiming they bribed VP of ref committee.
Barca will play their position in court. Apparently UEFA already responded that they can't interfere with any Spanish League related matters about that 500 page binder Florentino keeps talking about. Whatever happened, Florentino will be glad it's sort of cloaked in a unclear state so he can weaponize it as an excuse for any shortcomings.
I cannot see how Barcelona can be punished, neither how we can claim that 7 leagues were stolen from us. It is shady though and for a club that claims to be fighting the system which is with Madrid it's very hypocritical for the fans and spokespeople to accept this. But that's football. The fans only care as long as their team is not the one doing it.
The moment they changed the statues of limitation was the moment it was clear the league wasn't going to punish them. This is something which has been kicked to real courts. The problem with real courts vs sports courts is you need real tangible evidence to claim actual corruption has happened. Which you will be hard pressed to find.
Laliga makes an estimated €5.46 billion per season, here is the prize money break down: 1st - €59.5m 2nd - €49.5m 3rd - €45.5m 4th - €38.5m 5th - €31.5m 6th - €24.5m 7th - €17.5m 8th - €12.5m 9th - €10.5m 10th -€9.6m 11th - €8.75m 12th - €7.88m 13th - €7m 14th - €6.13m 15th - €5.25m 16th - €4.38m 17th - €3.50m 18th - €2.63m 19th - €1.75m 20th - €800k A total of €350m out of €5.46billion. In context, the premier league makes about €6.7billion and they pay a total of €2.83billion in revenue to clubs As long as Tebas is in the job, nothing will change unfortunately.
Now Bournemouth just need 3 more things to happen to qualify for the CL next season: 1) Have Villa lose to Man City 2) Have Liverpool beat Brentford; 3) Draw their last match at Forest or have Brighton drop points to Man Utd. Sounds like a lot, but each individual requirement seems quite likely. Liverpool beating Brighton is probably the biggest doubt.
That's not per season, unfortunately, but over the entire broadcast rights cycle. On a similar note: a Brazilian YouTube channel acquired the La Liga rights, so get your favorite VPNs out
La Liga was free on Facebook from 2018-21 in South Asia. But this Brazilian YouTube deal is getting a lot of publicity. Given VPNs are a lot cheaper than La Liga subscription plans in Europe, could see a lot of European users switching to Brazilian YouTube channel. This could be a disastrous deal for La Liga soon.

Drogba is such a missed opportunity. Really feel like his career took a bad turn and never recovered. Big "what could've been".
How so? He's had some very good years with Chelsea, culminating with a CL win in 2012. Probably wishes he won more with a stacked Ivory Coast, but his club career has been A+.
