Also, Neymar doesn't provide anything that Cunha doesn't. Same type of playing style, just less fit and older. He'll also nullify one of Raphinha's main attributes which is pressing high.
Unless someone else comes along, Lamal is looking like he will be in a class of his own in the near future. There's really not many in his profile. His ceiling could be ridiculous, so Madrid have a problem in their hands if they want to contain what could potentially be the next-best player in the world. Mbappe and Vini needs to get their acts together. Mbappe is 27 and nowhere near a Ballon D'Or because he hasn't led Real Madrid/PSG to meaningful silverware. Vinicius is too one dimensional and most opponents have him completely figured out.
Southampton kicked out of the play offs. They admitted it and its being said they also admitted spying on other clubs this season too Fair play to the EFL. Didn't think they would have the balls.
Illia Zabarnyi left to P.S.G Kepa Arrizabalaga left to Arsenal Milos Kerkez left to Liverpool The only one left from last year defence is Marcos Senesi.
Kind of understandable why everyone hates Arsenal for the way they play but I will always support them over cheaters with oil money of Qatar and UAE. So I hope they do the double.
Well done Arteta. And Arsenal for showing faith in him. Could have easily gone the last 6 seasons chopping and changing managers with no major trophies to show for it (like Manchester United).
Yep. That's why I always say that I'm happy with a manager as long as the team shows continued improvement under their watch. Which Arsenal always did under Arteta. Arsenal went from 8th -> 5th -> 2nd & EL R16-> 2nd & CL quarters -> 2nd & CL semis -> 1st & CL finals. Instead, so much focus on trophies won. If you're dealt a terrible hand, it takes time to set things right. Context matters (d'uh!). Waiting 5+ years to win a major trophy but then have a foundation to possibly win many more still beats the heck out of giving 10 Enzo Marescas 1 year each or whatever tf Man Utd have been doing and still be in the starting blocks 5, 10 years later.
Key point for Bournemouth as well. Chelsea can't sneak in to 6th place now. 6th could be CL slot if Villa finish 5th and win EL.
Kvara has been fantastic in CL too. But won't be in BDR race as Georgia is not in the World Cup. If PSG wins CL and France goes deep in the World Cup, Dembele could win BDR again.
I watched couple of episodes of All or Nothing featuring Arsenal in 2022. Josh Kroenke had immense faith in Arteta despite 8th place finish in previous season and terrible start to 2021-22 season.
I expected drama in the last matchday of the EPL but City really gave up smfh..maybe they know something we don't.. Was looking forward to Arsenal bottling it again but they won it and it's fully deserved. Props to Arteta and the squad for not giving up
I believe Neymar has been more vital to the Brazilian national team than Ronaldinho. For years, Neymar served as Brazil's undisputed technical leader. While Ronaldinho famously won the 2002 WC QF against England single-handedly, he rarely led Brazil in such manner in other major tournaments. Perhaps the fundamental chasm between his style and Dunga's pragmatic philosophy (post R9, Romario, Rivaldo) ultimately prevented him from being the technical leader that Neymar has been for Brazil. Rai was the number 10 in 1994, and yet, he spent most of that tournament on the bench. I want Neymar to succeed, but there's no reason why he can't be on the bench if he is the no. 10. In terms of captaincy, Casemiro will likely be the captain, and no one will question that choice.
I think the Ballon d'Or committee should finally evolve beyond outdated indicators like trophies and G+A contributions and focus on the truly decisive metrics: progressive carries and touches in the box. Football was never about the end product.
Reckon Spurs will go for Iraola if they stay up. Palace trying hard, but he will want to wait and see if richer PL clubs make an offer.
With 5 teams in the mix I am going to try and explain in a thread what each side needs to stay up next weekend. My head has been in a maths whirlwind the last 12 hours working it out so if I get it wrong or miss something feel free to correct me.🧵⬇️ pic.twitter.com/mRD2Rxqhc4— La Liga & Beyond (@laligaandbeyond) May 18, 2026
Except Sevilla, I don' care which team staying up or going down in Spain. They are safe. And i only care about the UCL.
