Atleti and Villarreal level on 69 points. Villarreal hosts Atleti on matchday 38. Atleti won home match against Villarreal 2-0 so Atleti will finish 3rd if away game ends in a draw.

Getting Muriqi on the cheap should be an easy decision.

You mean the the PL is the standard bearer for all other leagues and La Liga (with it's southern European style corruption) could never hold a candle to English who are so classy in every way so that they make greed and corruption appear to be justice and equity.

Would be a typical Mou signing. Gonzalo is more agile, but Muriqi can hold the ball up as target man and offer plan B football like Joselu.

Either way, there's no way Mou is going to be happy with Mbappe as a #9.

He's neither Benzema or Higuain and choosing between the two of them was one of Mou's biggest headaches the first time around, now he has to make due with a guy who can't play as a #9 in any kind of system.

All this yapping when Mou is gonna build around the guy who guarantees 40+ goals. Mou made hunting with cat comment about Benz because he wasn't a consistent scorer despite brilliant link up play meanwhile Higuain couldn't score at all in big games. He's praised Mbappe several times as a coach and analyst.

He was gassing up the Madrid team. He, like many people from the outside looking in, could see how disruptive Mbappe has been to the locker room and teams dynamics and was simply trying to ignite a fire.

Late stage Mbappe has many of the undesirable traits of early Benzema - doesn’t know how when or where to make his runs, constantly offside, doesn’t run at all to press or defend BUT doesn’t have any of the redeeming qualities like build up and link up play, unselfish team first player, young and wants to improve.

Plus it’s hard to knock a guy who scored a goal a game BUT Mou already had one of those and we all see how the team consistently came up just a little short so maybe what he says when it’s not his problem to deal with and what he does when it is his responsibility - are in fact different things.

He's been praising Mbappe since Monaco days basically. Wanted to sign him at Man Utd.

Yea, Mbappe doesn't know how to run off the ball and all such over exaggeration yet scores 40 easily and would do better if he can be more clinical. Every sane coach would love to have that kind of base to build the attack around.

Barca won all 19 home games and will likely end the season on 97 points. We have been shit but even if we had done an above average season 97 pts would be hard to beat.

How are they doing it? Its half La Masia kids, Lewa, Raphinha, Yamal and a good coach. Respect where it’s due

Their point totals change if we don't implode twice this year but alas we decided to not be competitive.

Any sane coach would know the difference between a Real Madrid that wins a CL and La Liga double and a Real Madrid that doesn’t is the difference of one player - and they get rid of Mbappe any way possible.

In all fairness Mbappe in his Monaco days was a can’t miss talent where the sky seemed to be the limit but time tells a different story and he’s not really a better player today just more narrowly focused on scoring goals rather than winning games.

nobody claims Mou is sane and nobody thinks he’s the manager because of his ability yo win titles (which hasn’t been demonstrated at the highest level in over a decade).

RM also had bad seasons before Mbappe joined. They also had healthy defense and Kroos, Modric in 2022-23 yet couldn't complete in La Liga and got thrashed by Man City.

Where as last season LV was starting RB and Asencio was the only healthy CB. Messed up coaching situation this season hiring a coach with just 3rd division experience and not even assistant coaching experience at top level.

Ignoring several factors and going with your negative agenda has been your thing long before Mbappe even became a pro footballer. :D

Possible. They were cracking with couple of losses, blaming refs, Flick breaking down on sidelines. RM went up by 2 points and then gifted Barca the advantage losing at Osasuna and at home to Getafe.

Not to mention 5 point advantage after Clasico and yet dressing room implosion happened at RM than Barca.

Yes they looked very susceptible this year. They had some injuries and all was not well in terms of the morale. We're a terrible squad but we enabled Barca to win this year.

I am quite annoyed these days at the appreciation Casemiro is receiving at United and the mutual bond that has developed between him and that club. I feel like hes more a red devil than a Madridista by now, and that United is more in his heart than Madrid. It feels weird after all he won here and the mess that they are. But they know how to give that warrior of a player who has that much class his due.

Obviously not a big deal but hes someone who was instrumental for our success over the years and somehow we still came second. Theres something there that I cant quite put my finger on.

His RM exit was unexpected while he's getting a chance to say goodbye to Utd. Same reason why Ramos didn't get the kind of farewell tour Kroos got at RM.

Being disingenuous in his farewell. He went to Barca because they are regular title contenders. Realistic Atleti fans accepted that. And he left Barca because he couldn't perform upto expectation due to odd fit with Messi.

I believe that was pretty obvious. Recently gave an interview where he practically almost admitted that.

Having watched a federation fight clubs in a different manner, this is mostly likely a way to get out of being in an eternal legal battle that drains out a ridiculous amount of resources. At some point the money runs out on either side, and i don't think the people that have invested in the big Premier League clubs have a problem with their money or courtoom staff running out.

It doesn't become a battle for who's right, it becomes a battle about who can go the longest.

If Florentino had any humor, he'd hire Albert Riera.

Shearer hyping up previous eras including his playing days and kinda dissing current one. I agree Bruno isn't at the level of Henry and KDB though.

Bruno played in the same era as de Bruyne. Both are active players right now, what the hell.
