Mbappe however has already publicly declared his mancrush for Xabi and hopefully if the feeling is mutual and there’s every indication to believe this is a relationship born of love at first sight - THEN Xabi and Chelsea can pay out the rear and have their match made in heaven for a reasonably low, low price of only 200 million Euros. Or Mbappe can rot on the bench because Mou doesn’t tolerate players who don’t run for the team.
Always had a soft spot for Racing Santander. I even own one of their Jerseys. Used to watch them back in the day in hopes we resigned Pedro Munitis.
My favorite football story of the year. An incredible ride, if Frankfurt and the Bundesliga wouldn't be under the radar this would be the number 1 story everywhere.
🚨 WILD! 🤯The Premier League is proposing to allow clubs to negotiate settlements for breaches of its financial rules rather than automatically having to face a disciplinary commission.🦁The plan will be put to a vote at its annual meeting next month.🗳️ℹ️ @MarkKleinmanSky pic.twitter.com/dILWqfHMWm— Polymarket FC (@PolymarketFC) May 16, 2026 Apparently the EPL will vote on whether or not they will let City pay their way out of their financial breaches.
Casemiro’s Old Trafford farewell. The legend is expected to leave Europe this season. What a legacy he has left. The Don. 🤍 pic.twitter.com/xq2XJIFU27— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) May 17, 2026 Incredible player. Would probably improve the starting XI of most top teams right now.
Must be an all around sound person too. Remember Carlo and Perez both getting weepy at his farewell presser? Seeing the farewell he's getting from UTD fans does not surprise me.
I remember question marks following him when he came to Madrid and rumours that he was unprofessional at Sau Paulo or something like that. Came in and didnt put a foot wrong in all the time he spent with us. Seeing the farewell over there it was most probably the same at Utd. Legend and a great professional.
The real Super League will become the EPL, if it isn't already. There will come a time when even the lower division PL clubs will eclipse most of the top European Clubs. It's just a matter of time.
Going from Real Madrid to Chelsea, a club owned by BlueCo, is really something. I wish him luck there. It will be interesting to see how much time they give him. Next season, they won’t be playing in Europe, so he can fully focus on the league.
It's still possible for Chelsea to fall ass-backwards into the CL next season despite a 13-10-13 record. Every result going their way this past week.
The leagues outside of the championship are pretty much not getting the money they were supposed to be getting in this “pyramid” scheme. League 1,2 and non leagues are barely discussed unless you’re a fan. I know an Oldham supporter and the money the club sees is minimal and still have to put on events in the summer to help with costs.
Juve lost at home to Fiorentina and now find themselves depending on other results going their way to make it to CL football. If they miss out on the CL they will probably look to sell a few players to balance their books. Wouldn't mind taking Locatelli off their hand.
Espanyol safe from relegation after beating Osasuna 2-1 away. Sevilla (43 points) safe despite losing to RM as they have better head to head against Girona (40 points) who lost to Atleti. Osasuna, Levante, Elche on 42 points and Mallorca on 39. Would be interesting to see the scenarios where Mallorca can avoid relegation on matchday 38.
Muriqi is having the best season of his career for Mallorca. He scored eight more goals than in his previous two seasons combined, yet he still couldn’t help Mallorca, and after the loss to Levante they are now favorites to get relegated.
