Bad option for Xabi imo. They are at least two years away from being contenders. Will they give him time? 🚨 Chelsea exploring deal to appoint Xabi Alonso as next head coach. 44yo former #RMFC boss understood to be open to possibility, although nothing decided yet as process continues. COPE | Sergio Ramos and his team held a meeting that lasted more than eight hours with the shareholders of Sevilla FC. The meeting was to negotiate a final agreement regarding the purchase of the club. There is a great deal of optimism, as the deal could be finalized tomorrow.
They are not at least 2 years away from being a contender. I don’t see why they can't contend for the league next season, with the right manager and a couple of key summer signings. That might be optimistic but at the very least the season after next. Alot can happen in a year. Few probably thought Leverkusen were within a year of beating out Bayern when Xabi took charge over there. Whether or not he or anyone will be given time is another matter though.
The 13 minutes of stoppage time in the Spurs match today is really a head scratcher. When are we gong to get some transparency on stoppage time? There was a big VAR decision that ate up 4 minutes (not sure why it took that long, btw), but where did the other 9 come from?
With all respect, nobody cares. For what it's worth the club is exactly where it set itself up to be. As far as I'm concerned every team winning right now deserves to do so and executes mostly the way they built it. Can't be worse than his last one. Getting a year would be an improvement.

Mama Mia. I consider the guy to be the most complete striker in the game, that's pretty bad news, but at least it's not Barca.
This will end in tears. Also shows you how dumb sports are. If you remember when "Jay Z bought the Nets", this is pretty much the same thing if not worse. With football fans in that region being what they are, having all the responsibility and none of the power is not a position of envy.

They had to had an opportunity to get him twice and didn't. I asked the same person that had a bit more info on Amorim's interview process with Liverpool and he feels like they don't really rate Xabi all that highly.

Agreement between Five Eleven Capital, Ramos and Sevilla: they will pay 450 million Ramos and Five Eleven Capital have agreed with the club's main shareholders on the price (approximately €450 million , including debt) and the payment schedule , which varies depending on whether the team is in the First or Second Division. Furthermore, they successfully convinced the shareholders with their payment guarantees. All that remains is for the Spanish National Sports Council (CSD) to approve the transaction and for all the contracts to be signed. Ramos and his group will have to carry out a significant capital increase , of between 80 and 100 million euros , to alleviate the entity's economic problems and also allow for an improvement in the salary cap that has dramatically weakened the team in recent times , to the point of having it once again fighting to avoid relegation. https://as.com/futbol/primera/acuer...villa-faltan-las-garantias-de-pago-f202605-n/
If you read the comments there's a few people that took time to look deeper into it, and the mess this can potentially shake out to be. If you're betis you're most likely celebrating right now.
