Arsenal haven't had a reliable scorer since Auba 2019-20 season. That's a long time ago. Whoever wasted 150 MP on Gab Jesus, Havertz and Gyokeres is responsible for Arsenal becoming nearly men in 2-3 PL campaigns.
Gyokeres was supposed to be it. As a club (project, strategy, squad building), we could learn a thing or two from them. They're nowhere near perfect, but their management has been making some good sporting decisions. Arsenal just don't have the personality. They are the Atletico and BVB of the EPL. Every league has one of those. Arteta is a good "crisis manager" but not a winner, he can't take them over the finish line.

Learn from a club whose last league title came in 2003/04, with only three titles in the entire Premier League era (since 1992)? A club that has allowed its manager to spend €1.138 billion since his appointment, yet the only trophies he has won are Community Shields with the last major title being the 2019/20 FA Cup. And let’s not forget finishing second three seasons in a row. Saying Atlético Madrid have no personality is ridiculous. They knocked out FC Barcelona from two competitions in the same season. They even beat them away at Camp Nou for the first time in 20 years, and in the second tie they blew a 2-goal lead after 20 minutes and still still won on aggregate. Also, let’s not forget that Atlético unlike Arsenal have won two league titles since 2003/04 and three major European trophies, all while never being one of the “big two” in Spain. And despite all that, Arsenal’s revenue (€793M) is still 1.6-1.9x higher than Atlético’s (€416M-€500M).
Let me preface this by saying I haven't had time to go through the whole story but wanted to share it to see if anyone knows more about whats going on. New La Liga scandal on the horizon - this time its our faithful madridista Tebas. According to El Español, Barca & 30 other clubs made a "loan" payment to “pay off Tebas's debt to the Tax Agency.” Madrid didn't because of clear conflict of interest.
We are basically repeating the history, its 2004 all over again. Squad full of attacking 'stars' not playing without the ball (not just in defense), below average midfielders and relying on the best GK in the world in defense to save us. Replacing manager after manager hoping for a miracle. We are not going back to the top with Perez for sure. His approach is wrong, these attacking stars are untouchable for him. Determination is much more important than talent, because at that level the difference in talent is not that big to compensate lack of effort. The only solution I can see is appointing manager and giving him all the power. That's why I cant see our future with Perez to be bright. The other solution that happened in 2009 is not possible, because there is not another Cristiano Ronaldo to come - be the best player in the world and leading the team by example both on and off the pitch with his hard work. When you are around a player like this you can't be hiding. He was affecting all the players around him to be better.
According to Sky Sports News, Arne Slot is expected to continue as Liverpool's coach next season, as long as the club is qualified for the Champions League. The rumors I hear indicate that Slot will be the coach of Liverpool next season if they manage to qualify for the Champions League, something that they will seem to get right now. - Jamie Carragher

The entire league is a corrupt piece of shit and the best thing that could happen to Madrid is for the English to be greedy enough to ask for them to join their own.
Leicester relegated to the 3rd tier Coventry win the Championship under manager Frank Lampard. Chelsea 5 league defeats in a row without scoring a goal in any of them
“Linked to” could mean a whole list of things. If I own shares in Amazon doesn’t mean I’m linked to Jeff Bezos. I don’t know about Spanish law but there are usually corporate and legal rules limiting transactions by a company where a conflict might arise, so if there’s any shenanigans it should be fairly easy to show them. Let’s see what they come up with.
It's basically conflict of interest. Why is a club loaning money (which they dont have to begin with) to a company linked with the head of La Liga? It shouldn't happen. It cannot happen.

Just waiting on the next explanations and rationalization for the most corrupt sporting organization on the planet... that includes FIFA, UEFA, etc We have the president of the league blackmailing clubs for financial gain and we have the second biggest club not only exploiting this to break laws, cheat personnel building but to purchase officiating controlling outcomes. Just an absolute shit league which means nothing to me. I don't even care about winning it and I don't give a shit if we lose, draw, etc because at the end of the day thus league is so badly manipulated the difference is probably more than 15 or even 20 points. Makes it hard to be critical of JAS even with his shit sporting management when he's been playing a rigged poker game while we shout at them for incompetence this entire time.
