Agreed, though I like the Makaay comparison a bit more than the one with Ruud. Not because I don't rate Haaland, I certainly do (as I did Makaay!), but Ruud was technically more gifted than both. His technique, first touch, hold-up play and overall play on the ball was several levels above Haaland's.

He doesnt work hard enough for someone who doesnt contribute to the overall play and his positioning instincts in the box are subpar. Hes only great at vertical movement. Not someone worth 200 million and that salary.
