Funny that Hendrix would like a player so much that looks at his feet when he runs with the ball. Usually he's all about smarter players, not ones that rely almost exclusively on athleticism.
Actually that’s exactly what we do, right? We’re able to compete against the very best in Europe then lose to someone like Getafe or Osasuna in a borefest.
Newcastle get ragdolled domestically then go and draw Barca, europe is just a bit more mixed because players don't have the kind of experience of facing each other multiple times over the year and having played that field a million times already. It provides a bit more varience.
Looks like you guys will have to deal with Yamal for the years to come. And here I'm talking about ref protection similar to Messi era.
He's a phenomenal player. There's a clip of him running circles around Madrid with the players just looking at him. His story sets a great example.
It was a tale of two cities and two very different football grounds for an @FCBarcelona fan who turned up at the wrong St James Park last night 🏟️The Spanish supporter, who made the journey to Devon from London, turned up at the turnstiles of Exeter City’s Adam Stansfield stand… pic.twitter.com/uhpqsKWWQT— Exeter City FC (@OfficialECFC) March 11, 2026
I'm quite confident you'd pack his bags yourself if you'd have to send Wirtz the other way to get him. The sport needs special players and I think Yamal is a guy you tune in to watch.
We have multiple players with those kinds of highlights reels against Barca that people would swap with anyone with a pulse outside of RM. I think Barca as a team are poor against the bigger teams because they are essentially a collection of LaMasia players who have perfected the key to beating Spanish team but are out of place against the rest of Europe. It was fun to see them bouncing off the Newcastle players, even Lewa who spends quite some time in the gym. The only one who matched them for strength is so out of sorts right now Flick would rather play midfielders over him in defence
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVuHJ1YAl5j/ This kind of shows you the difference. Makes the mistake then immediately tries to stop it from becoming an issue. It's not just about the highlights. I think by now, and that's absurd given how young he is, he's a tier above several of our superstars when it comes to understanding the game and seeing the entire field.
He's easily one of the more consistent players in the world over the last two years, right across from weekly La Liga and domestic cup matches up to UCL and also his impact playing for Spain at the Euros.
If Vinny had Yamals IQ of passing the ball after beating the first guy and finishing from the 18 yard box. He’d be elite. Tamala is far better than Vinny.
Yamal averages nearly 30 turnovers a game. If he was a RM player we'd call him the worst thing to ever happen to football.
That's rich coming from a fanbase that sang Morata's name. He's a super talent, there's no denying it. He's not some kind of alien, but he's a ton of fun to watch.
Also, # of turnovers is the most useless stat in football. Of course, the guy that everyone else on the team looks to get the ball to so that he can try something will have a lot of turnovers. If he had fewer turnovers than some sideways passer with low creativity like Jordan Henderson, I'd be worried. Turnovers gives you insight into the tempo and style that teams and players play with, but that's about it. You will see more turnovers in the EPL & Bundesliga than Serie A, for example.
Actually, I think he has exceeded Messi at 18. Ofcourse, Messi's highs are very very high, but his breakthrough came after he got past his injury troubles during his early twenties. Either way, Yamal looks generational, spooky how they seem to spawn new BdO level players sequentially.
Messi is one of the greatest athletes ever. I consider not praising him as a football player to be a mental illness.
Lennart Karl with one of the unintentionally funny quotes of the year when asked about how to make it to pro football: "get a stable friends circle, not people that try to convince you to funny business like smoking"
So you one of those Twitter folks huh? I mean, they (him and CR7) are on the verge of retirement; enough with the worshipping.
