I think Barca as a team are poor against the bigger teams because they are essentially a collection of LaMasia players who have perfected the key to beating Spanish team but are out of place against the rest of Europe. It was fun to see them bouncing off the Newcastle players, even Lewa who spends quite some time in the gym. If he had fewer turnovers than some sideways passer with low creativity like Jordan Henderson, I'd be worried.

Turnovers gives you insight into the tempo and style that teams and players play with, but that's about it. You will see more turnovers in the EPL & Bundesliga than Serie A, for example.

Actually, I think he has exceeded Messi at 18. Ofcourse, Messi's highs are very very high, but his breakthrough came after he got past his injury troubles during his early twenties. Either way, Yamal looks generational, spooky how they seem to spawn new BdO level players sequentially.
