    Shocking news.
We need to push Rüdiger out of the team not up the field. Should've been sitting a couple weeks out with a suspension.

And probably won't have Lewa too for the first leg. Not only us missing players.

If Simeone wins CDR this season, that'd be 2 La Ligas, 2 Europa Leagues, 2 CDRs along with 2 CL finals lost in extra time and penalty shootouts for Atleti with him as coach.

Have to go back to 1960s and 70s for a comparable era of trophies for Atleti. Overall great job by Simeone while only having 40% revenue and budget of RM/Barca.

I hope for footballs sake Arsenal dont win the PL. They would go down as the worst champions since Greece in 2004 EC

City drop points. Have a game in hand and 7 behind Arsenal.

Aren’t you sometimes a bit jealous of the Premier League, and wouldn’t you rather that La Liga had competition like the Premier League?

I’m watching today’s matches and it’s remarkable how much quality the teams have.

    • Today Nottingham Forest draws with Man City.
    • Chelsea beats easily Aston Villa. Meanwhile Chelsea was beaten by Arsenal and had previously drawn with Burnley.
    • Newcastle are currently drawing with Man United and lost to Everton last week.
I feel like almost any team can give the league leaders trouble.

Sometimes I wish La Liga were more exciting like that. When was the last time a team other than Barça or Real or Atleti actually won the championship?

Leaders are 7 points clear. What competition?

It’s the most boring season in years.

Getafe literally beat us at home.

    Nonsense.

Hmm, maybe it’s just a feeling. Arsenal,
have “only” 67 points from 30 games. Man City are second with 60 points (a game less).

Meanwhile, Barca have 64 points from 26 games. From the four matches (til 30 games) they’ll probably win three and end up with 73 points.

Aside from that, the playing approach of the weaker teams is also stronger. The don’t just sit back and park the bus like the weaker teams of la liga do against us.

RM have had too many lame seasons in La Liga for a supposedly two horse race league. I'd rather we compete better against these La Liga teams like Barca more often than not does.

Villa are sadly crumbling. Wanted them to finish in Top 5.

So City could have the same points difference between us and Barca… or worse if they lost / draw game in hand.

Arsenal play the most boring football in the league and they could end up champions?

Let’s see how they do in Europe now the likes of Newcastle are up against Barca and Tottenham (who finished 4th) are up against Atletico.

Since 2019, there is not a team in La Liga that has won the title back to back aswell.

I know blanket statements are the trend nowadays, but I think PL has had a drop in quality compared to the high level it had from 2018-23.

Two all English finals in CL and 4 different PL teams made CL finals during that era. Arsenal are not close to City and Pool teams of those years. Klopp vs Pep was two horse race but of highest quality.

Pool was good only during first half of last season and won the league comfortably. Not a surprise no PL team made it to CL final in last two years.

For me quality at the top also matters. Otherwise Serie A has been very competitive at the top for years now.

Arsenal winning after 22 years will be huge for the club but they are underwhelming compared to the quality of PL champions in last several seasons. Even a small team like LC wasn't wasting time when they won like Arsenal does now.

1 point separate Tottenham to the relegation zone.

I’d absolutely piss myself if they went down - the losses would be huge, given their new stadium repayments.

In what alternate universe is 7 points back with game in hand alot (with still so many matches to play)? If City best Arsenal at home they are neck and neck.

And even that head-to- head game isn't a must win for City.
